Retro console and games thread

I just re loaded my game of Resident Evil 1 (wii) and I no longer have the closet key, how do you keep this key? I suppose you have to save the game ?

Does the Wii run GameCube games better than the GameCube did? I ask because I'm playing Harry Potter 1 through the component cable and it looks fabulous, and seems to be running at 60fps? Or did it run at 60 on the GameCube?

That Legend is pretty decent, got a copy here. The AI is kinda "Cheaty" though, if there are 2 or more enemies on screen one always goes behind you and pummels you from behind. If there are 2 infront of you and one behind and you kill the one behind and then turn to the other 2 one of them will go behind and once again pummel you from behind .

So basically prepare to be pummelled from behind :D

Where is the best place to get an RGB Scart for an XBOX, PS2 and Wii? I bought some cheap ones on eBay that were said to be RGB but they certainly aren't outputting RGB.

I've also used Retro Gaming Cables, twice now. Can't fault their products or service.

When I bought one for my PS1 it originally was outputting in black and white. I emailed them on a Saturday, expecting a reply on the Monday. But got a reply and the problem sorted within an hour or so. It wasn't the cable it was TV settings that needed changing.

I've started going into my local charity shops on the hunt for games- do you normally find retro games in mainstream (oxfam, BHF etc) charity shops or are they in more obscure independent shops?

I've always thought that a scart with all the pins in is RGB, and to use it you need to use a RGB specific SCART port on your TV? Might be worth double checking I guess!

Hello folks

I have a loft full of this stuff, some of it fairly interesting. Does anyone know if price checks etc (I know I can check ebay but it's either silly money or not listed) are ok here as it's outside of the MM?

Thanks
