Retro console and games thread

In the PAL A collection there are 299 games - but I include the UK Codemaster releases i.e. Micro Machines, Dizzy etc so that brings my list up to 307 [Not including variants of PAL A releases like the Italian version of Mario Bros. in the picture above or the Turtles games which have Ninja in the title and not hero etc.)

The 9 I need are:
Battleship
Chip N Dale 2
Corvette ZR-1
Flintstons Dinosaur Peak
Galaga
Stack Up
Cosmic Spacehead
MIG 29
Super Sports Challenge

Cosmic Spacehead pretty sure I had that game and I noticed on the cover it was recommended by Total magazine which I read at the time, cover looks familiar. I will see if I can dig it out.

Found it!

Brings back some memories and quite shocked at the price my parents were paying for me to have games back then!

My current classic gaming collection consists of

A Black Gamecube and a good selection of games
Donkey Kong Game & Watch
Lifeboat Game & Watch
Dreamcast
SNES

I take it from the pictured games that you're looking for complete in box games?

I was happy with carts at first but for the past 3 years I've been doing completes but I am still upgrading my cart only's too.
I have 238 complete - the rest are a mix of cart/box, cart/manual, cart.

what, you've almost got ALL nes games ever ? that's brilliant !

It's not all NES games ever mate! Just the PAL A releases (the ones released in the UK, Italy and Australia).

Guys had this now for several years!! brought from new and to be honest only used a few times back in my teenage years. Anyone know if its worth anything these days?

Yes it is and I'd be interested in it. But you'd need to sort it in the MM so you don't fall foul of the rules.

Selling the console and each game separately on eBay would probably make the most money. But obviously there are fees and dodgy buyers to account for.

I used the BBC and Acorn a lot at school. They were the backbone of our IT dept in the early 90's.

It was the BBC Micro for us, which, just as i was leaving got replaced by the Acorn Archimedes. The Electron was my first every gaming computer :D

Ahh, the memories. I keep toying with the idea of buying a BBC but they're not cheap! I just want to play Pole Position again! :D

One of my biggest life regrets was leaving a loft full of retro in the late 90's, there was literally dozens of computers and consoles from spectrums to Amigas, stacks of mags and software.

I had two addictions back then. Car Boots and Computer mags. I'd visit at least 3 boots every Sunday where I'd buy almost any computer that was on sale and in those days they were common and cheap. BBC B's under £5 etc. One of the few computers I salvaged and have to this day is an Amiga 1200 which came with 3 big boxes full of stuff including Accelerator, HD, CD Rom was bargain at £20 and all working :)

How I miss those days, Car boots of today are absolute rubbish in comparison :(

Before the Internet really took off I used to buy anything up to 4 mags a week to cover all the various consoles and computers I owned, two of my favourites were ACE (Advanced Computer Entertainment) and Amiga Format but there were many :)

After seeing Housey's amazing collection I'm getting the urge to add to my collection :)

I'm gutted. My parents moved last year and actually threw out my 464+ I actually had the colour monitor and around 70 games on tape.

How much was that?
