Retro console and games thread

A snes has come up fir sale near me for £65, with mario world, mario all stars, dk country 2, some tetris and doctor mario game and another i havent heard of. All unboxed, is that a good price? Cant get a good gauge for it on ebay really

Well dkc2 seems to be around 20-25 on ebay alone cart only and is a real gem for a new collection tbh.

Average snes prices seem around 35 for console, pad, psu maybe one game

Its not a bad price for the bundle but i would try for 50-55 ;)

Tired of keep cabling up and swapping over consoles to play different games I modified a cheapie bookcase to house some of my consoles on the end of my desk (lack of space in my tiny spare room!) Fairly pleased with the result below.
Was a lot of cabling, but now any console can be switched on, directed to any monitor and recorded/streamed via an Elgato HD60. Every console is cabled up to support its highest possible quality video output; RGB scart, component or HDMI.

From top to bottom:
Dreamcast & PS2 slim
N64 (RGB modded NUS-001fra version) & Wiis
SNES & Platinum gamecube
NES
Saturn model 2 (slightly dodgy video output on this, think I might need a new one :()
Xbox One
PS4
Wii U (under monitor)
Mega CD / Megadrive / 32x
Master system converter in desk leg
PS3, Xbox 360 in desk leg
Original Xbox in other desk leg

Ran out of space there so I left PS1 & master system etc boxed up as they can be played on the megadrive (with converter) and PS2.

Looks great i will be aiming for something similar! How do you go about hooking all that up then?

The shop is in Banbury if you're interested Shi. I haven't been in there in months but if he's still got them I bet he would take whatever you offer him :p If only I read Japanese I might have made an offer myself.

It's been a long while since I posted in this thread!

I'm starting to get ideas about getting another Dreamcast and maybe a NES. I sold the last DC I had but I'm getting the itch again.
