Retro console and games thread

I have trashed my back so been in bed all day. Have done FAR too much retro research / window shopping lol.

Just been going through his auctions and some tempting stuff there!

What happened to the signature, it was working earlier.

how on earth can you copy a cartridge !?!?
is that illegal anyway?
 
I don't believe this

my 2nd snes arrived today (supposed to be sent 1st class on Monday, so its late)
but this is also broken, got a big hole in the back !!!!

With an EEPROM programmer and some other electronic voodoo type gear.

Not sure about the legality of it. I assume making backups of ROMs you own is ok, but I doubt selling them is going to get a seal of approval from anyone who owns the copyright.

From my perspective I don't see it as anything worse than emulation. If I could buy the games I wanted brand new then I would. But you can only buy them second hand anyway, so the developers, publishers and licence holders don't make any money from that either.
 
the snes, trying to return item and it says "Seller does not accept returns, but Ebay money back guarantee covers you if you need help"

well lets hope they do !
 
You can only accept returns if you're a business seller.

To avoid any issues I suggest you open a dispute saying not as described, or maybe arrived damaged. Have you got a link to the original listing?

Yeah pain killers wear off after a few hours so it's wake n pain time in the night til they kick in again lol

Yeah sig got deleted due to not meeting forums required size I think. ...odd

eh? you can accept returns, if your a business seller or not, doesn't matter, ive sent stuff back before from a private seller

i clicked the box that says "damaged on arrival" and added the photo and explained I wont test it when its open like that

In the past when I've been listing items and tried to add "returns accepted"

I seem to remember having fill in stuff about RMA policies, so didn't bother because it sounded like something for business sellers. But I almost exclusively use my phone to list items as it's easier to add pictures, so maybe that was why.

I have accepted returns anyway, a very conscientious courier driver thought the best way to deliver an item I'd sent was to throw it over the recipients gate.

I've just checked and revised and item and it allowed me to change returns policy.
 
I've checked both listing, none are business sellers, 1 says no returns accepted, the other one does

I hope I can return them , I have started the returns procedure, so we shall see what happens, if he doesn't accept the return, ill escalate it, after all, its damaged

so im back to looking for another snes, but you says about another console that plays sega and Nintendo games in one, never head of that before, and looked it up, looks interesting, tempted to get on of those
