Retro console and games thread

There's 20 NES games there, at least half of which would sell in the £30-40 region. So it wasn't to far a stretch to assume an average of £20 per game. DG's estimate of £7.50-£10 a game average is a bit low ball. And if you were to sell them you wouldn't do them as a bundle anyway.

Either way, the whole bundle was an absolute bargain.

you know i used to sell retro consoles for a living for years right :p

theres silly ebay prices then theres what its worth and actually sell for :D

my estimate is accurate to the actual worth. not buy it now prices which literally no one buys and are put up for the just incase buyers.;)

I realise that there are stupidly high prices on eBay. You also get the same thing on Gumtree and other sites, people think because it's old it's gold. Even carboot sellers can be over priced. They look at the buy it now price on eBay and take off postage and that's the price the try to get.

But it still doesn't escape the fact that even sold listings for some of those other games he had will be in the £15 range. If you wanted to actually buy all of those games for yourself, other than luckily coming across a cheap bundle. You would have to pay more than £150 to acquire them all.

And also, like I said. Either way the entire bundle was a bargain.

I used to have a reasonable collection when I was younger.

I would go to car boots with my dad every sunday. Whatever I spend on retro stuff, I'd keep about half myself and sell the other half at 'Chips' for double what I paid.

I ended up lending most of it to a friend to use in his tattoo shop and never got it back :(

Sorting through my PlayStation 1 games over the weekend, probably going to sell them. I'll keep the 2D shmups I have but the rest are just sitting on the shelf, never to be played.

Already have FFVII, VII and Galerians on eBay.

Haven't given up on my PS2 games yet and my 360 collection isn't even that, it's about 10 games.

In fact the only reason I have a 360 is I saw the Star Wars edtion too cheap to pass up and bought it.

Got a question, My PS2 currently uses the RCA cable (yellow, red, white) and the quality on a 1080p is blurry as. I'm looking for a RCA to Component/HD Component? blue, red and green cable/converter. What do I SPECIFICALLY need to search? i have had no luck.

Just dug out this little treasure trove

Ha ha. Whats the going rate on SMW in mint condition complete? Oh also came across my N64 version of majora's mask I only pulled half the cellophane off the box so that's in very good condition and complete.

Hello... it's been a while since I've posted in here... :)

Just been thinking about how great the snes pad was for me, I got a few authentic snes pads, that I won't mind using on the ps3 for fighting games... but I'm not sure what is better, getting a snes to usb adapter, if so which one or getting a modern mock snes pad with usb connector and again if so which one.

Thanks in advance.
