Retro console and games thread

All being well I'll be picking up another GameCube tomorrow.

That will mean I'll have a black, indigo and platinum one. The platinum one will be kept as it's a boxed Zelda edition, so one of the other ones will be sold.

My question is, which one is worth the most from selling point? Or should I sell both and keep the platinum one? I don't think keeping all three is an option, as I don't have the room and I have a Wii as well. So playing GameCube games isn't an issue.

Recent purchase for £70

I don't get many lots like this anymore unfortunately :(

Did the guy take £50 off the sale price for you bud?

That's an awesome deal, I'd feel ripped off if I was receiving £70 for that lot :).

Yeah I got lucky with this one. I was beaten to it by a couple of local traders who were umming and ahhing over the 32X being untested so I jumped in and bought it from under them.

I don't know what they were thinking the games alone are worth the £70. I bet they regretted it later. :D

More than £50, Gunstar Heroes is £20-25 on it's own.

It depends where you look. I've had some steals on Gumtree and Shpock. Some people don't know or care what stuff is really worth. I picked up 14 GameCube games yesterday for £10. All boxed with instructions in excellent condition.

I'll have yours for £25! :D

It's worth trying Facebook sale groups too it's where I pick most of my stuff up from. Most towns and even a lot of villages will have their own sites now all worth checking or stick an advert up on them for items wanted.

I wished I had one. Not that I'd sell it.

I've only seen them on eBay, so until find one somewhere else for cheap I'll keep my £25 and spend it wisely.

I reckon they thought they could get it cheaper from this chap.

Next time I'll say I'm being sarcastic, I guess it's hard to tell from text but look at the 32x box closely ;).

Anyone watch the Chron-series by Dr. Sparkle? He Does Chrontendo, Chronsega and Chronturbo. I'm going through Chronsega at the moment and its a fascinating watch!

Highly worth checking out if your into your retro games

Chrontendo

I've started buying up more retro kit and started to photo a few of my existing kit, for anyone interested. All are perfect and working condition and most with really tidy boxes with all the correct bits.

LOADS more to come, but thought some might appreciate them, some I think I posted before. If anyone has anything interesting of this era let me know :D

^^
Texas Instruments TI99 4A, the first computer my parents bought me. Taught myself BASIC on it.

Mine was an Atari 400 from the old computer shop in Stafford by the old Hospital, if anyone remembers that shop. I think 1980 Christmas but I recall it was:-

Atari 400 £299
Atari Tape Deck £99
Atari Basic Cartridge £99
Preppi Tape £19.99
Galaxians £29.99

It's amazing what you remember :D

Picked up a boat load of stuff today, mostly to sell on because it was cheap and I already have a lot of it.

Paid a total of £170 for all this. I reckon I can keep the N64, Pikmin and Animal Crossing and still sell the rest on to cover costs and still make a few quid.

All the PS2 stuff was £30
The boxed Indigo Cube with Mario Sunshine was £10
The boxed N64, game and accessories and the boxed GameCube, games and accessories was £130.
