c c c.... cleavage?

i just got a bike and id rather preffer if people didnt post videos like this....

but if i do crash i hope a pretty lady will save me

id rather people did post videos like this.... to show you what can happen in an accident.

p.s. i want a motorbike accident, just so i can be looked after by a nice bird like that!!! :D

Guy wasnt paying attention to road and didnt notice traffic as said.. so braked and swerved. (looks more like a handbrake turn :/ ) The rider is a female i belive as said above.. you hear her refered to as "her" lol

Yeah could put you off.. but wouldnt me.. what puts me off is my complete lack of a brain when it comes to things on two wheels and id kill meself or heaven forbid someone else.. i feel much more responsible in a car for some reason.. so ya wont be seeing me on a bike anytime soon.

:P

yer, it is a female rider you see her towards the end i think after they take the helmit off...

In these kinda situations what should they have done to help her after the accident? i'm pretty convinced she should have been on her back and that they shouldn't have taken her helmit off if she was having back pains, is that right?

I maybe wrong here, but does anyone else think she could have avoided it?

It looks like she could have had time to go to the left of the car but i guess shock took over.

Don't think so. When the car starts moving to the right, she does too in an attempt to avoid it, as your instinct would be to steer away from it, not in the direction its coming from. By the time she'd of realised he was going to do a complete U-Turn she's already well commited to go through the rapidly shrinking gap to the right.

she actually talks allot about if she should have gone left on the forum, and for various reasons i'd agree it wouldn't have been a good idea.

One of the most overwhelming reasons is you don't know what he was trying to avoid. Looks like it was nothing in the end, but you don't wanna find out it was something dropped from a lorry or something! Anyhows it was a snap judgement and its very very easy to think of better ways out watching a video at home :)

Your supposed to keep them still and leave the helmet on unless there's good reason not to, but she sits up before help gets to her, then refuses to lie flat. She also asks them to take off her helmet and gloves, which they shouldn't have done really, but she was up and moving about quite a lot, which I'd imagine you wouldn't be doing if you'd done serious harm..

Yeah I know mate. I'm not sure everyone would have done the samething if they where in her boots.

Her bike sounds like a monster too :D

pretty accurate depiction of a crash except for the complete disorientation you suffer, oh and the pain.

Came off 4 bikes now, 1 250, 3 600s, and truthfully only really one of them was my fault. Hurts for a bit, hurts more when you have to repair the bike tho :)

A law should be passed for all people that ride motor bikes need to wear ridding leathers. It would make the roads much much safer for them and it would make less casualtys imo.

That video reinforces my thoughts about bikes.
And what exactly might those be?

That we need to have cameras to get justice from the stupid two-faced pathetic thoughtless irresponsible idiotic careless lying motorists who can't drive for toffee?

Or that we should be put in a nice little safety cage with crumple zones and airbags to protect us from careless cretins? For our own safety of course

Or maybe that riding a bike makes you very much more aware of what's going on around you so that you make less mistakes? Like in the thread where Dawn (the rider) said that she was about to overtake but felt that something wasn't right and backed off the throttle. You can hear this from the engine note in the vid.

Won't stop cars doing silly things like in the video though.

How about getting rid of all cars? That would make the roads even safer. How about banning tinted windows, stickers, furry dice, cars with stupidly small back windows, etc?

Leathers will only reduce any injuries after you have an accident - they won't do anything to stop it happening in the first place. That depends on skill, judgement, knowing your machine and the road - and keeping an eye open for any SFB who's going to try a U-turn in front of you.

I know they wont prevent a crash but it will help to save you from being skinned alive when/if you do crash.
It will make it just that extra bit safer

hmm so on that logic wearing ahelmet is pointless too as it only helps you after an accident, not preventing one............ ok mate
and yes sure there are plenty of times biking accidents are other peoples faults, but also a hell of a lot of bikers ride reclassly, most of them speed by huge amounts. Show me someone who has a 600 + cc bike who does not go over 100mph regularly when they ride it, and ill be 95% certain ill show you a liar. ofc when this in turn leads to an accident then its once again someone elses fault or the road was slippy, something on bike broke etc etc.
I do however agree that generally bikers do notice things more often and are more road concious due to if they screw up it will hurt them. I just love the whole biker idea that every accident is nearly always someone elses fault. but then again thats the same with car drivers just usually not so horrific injurys.
