Rimworld - strategy base building sci-fi indie game

I'm enjoying it. It's very early and still needs a huge amount adding to it. But regular updates and seems to be going well.

It's certainly coming along. I'm liking the mood and health stats.

Started a colony today, one of my chaps decided to wall himself in when mining. Left him to it to see what would happen - he went mad. One of the other two got shot by a pirate, so I buried him, but then the remaining survivor contracted the plague. Game over.

Was quite surprised to realise the creator has written books on game design, and worked on Bioshock Infinite.

I'm really enjoying Rimworld, it's one of the few kickstarter games I've backed and I'm actually playing through the alpha builds. Not had chance to play with alpha 7 yet but really looking forward to getting some time with it as he has added loads of stuff :D

Does this have a steep learning curve?

Not really steep. It's a lot more straight forward than it looks once you're actually playing it. That said it does require some experimenting to succeed unless you're watching youtube vids etc. Also there are 5 or 6 difficulty levels so you can get used to things on easy mode if you wish.

Can't recommend this game highly enough.
