RIP Gene Hackman

Yeah and when they say closet, we're talking a closet in a multi-millionaires mansion in the US, so they're idea of a closet might be slightly different to ours.
that was one of my thoughts, i've seen a lot of these filmstar houses (especially if bought a before the property prices went through the roof) with "closets" that would be classed as the main bedroom in many modern UK houses.

Sounding more and more like they were poisoned though anyone’s guess whether intentional or suicide/murder, suicide or what.

Even in relatively modest houses in the US often the master bedroom has a approx. 2x2m walk in closet with clothes hanging space and shoe storage, etc.

Some of the ones I've seen on AD or Enes channel are crazy.

Aye.

Also the dog was in a "crate" in the bathroom with the wife by the looks of things, I'm guessing one of the plastic dog things and the poor thing was stuck in there.

Edit:
Being reported he died on February 17th based on his pacemaker data.
RIP Gene Hackman

What happened to him and his wife is a mystery.

When Gene died on 17 February, his packmaker data send to packmaker transmitter somwhere in house and transmitter should automatically sent data to nearest Medical Center in Santa Fe to alert Heart Failure Team. The team should raced to Gene mansion on either van or helicopter ambulance in a few mins that would brought both Gene and his wife back to life.

Hackman and wife likely died 10 days before bodies found, sheriff says

Arakawa's body showed signs of "decomposition", and "mummification" in the hands and feet, a sheriff's detective said.

Hackman's remains "showed obvious signs of death, similar and consistent" with those on his spouse.

Hopefully post-mortem will find the cause , looking like it's something they ingested knowingly or not

coincidentally - in UK legislation today, pandying to social media speculations
Police want the freedom to release more details of some investigations in an effort to prevent misinformation that could result in threats to public safety or national security.
In a submission to a review of contempt of court laws, three national policing bodies have said that they should be allowed to say more when a "tipping point" is reached and accusations of a cover-up could result in violence.

There are few coincidents between the unknown reasons for death of a well known couple in America and a rampage killing of three children and injuring at least eight more in a street where a suspect has been held in custody.
The UK has some if the tightest sub judice laws in the world and without pandering to social media there is scope to provide a little more official information than is currently allowed.

Off topic so I'll not pursue this further here.

A very talented actor, it's odd that his pacemaker failed to notify the medical services, the death of his wife and their dog just adds more mystery to his passing. R.I.P.

Do they have a data connection on pacemakers?

Older pacemakers had an RF connection with a very limited 3m (approx) reach to a transmitter that was usually located near the patient's bed, more modern pacemakers connect with the user's smart device via Bluetooth (as mentioned by Jokester).

Yeah, modern pacemakers can connect to an app on your phone via bluetooth and can be remotely monitored/trigger emergency calls.

So the fact that the pacemaker never made an emergency call....suggests the phone died first...meaning he didn't charge it.

That could mean anything from half a day to a couple of days of battery life depending on modern phones. So the time of death would have been before the phone ran out of battery...so it could be much earlier than the 17th.
