RIP Gene Hackman

Has he done a Chris Benoit and lost the plot perhaps (seems unlikely given his age) ? Maybe his wife died naturally and then couldn’t care for him ? Maybe she died and he just thought screw it and killed himself ? Dog in the cupboard is pretty random though
I always assumed people like this had staff, so it's quite surprising. If true, it's a sad end. :(

Gene, wife and one dog found dead in different locations.

Two dogs found alive according to Guardian.

Sounding weirder/sadder by the hour.

I wish the local police hadn't initially put out a false narrative that there was no foul play and just kept to the facts.

Aye they should take a leaf out of the press's book and just stick to the facts. Or better still, people on the internet, they're a truthful bunch! :p

I know it's 'news' but I'd rather have not heard any details at all. Why do we need to know the circumstances in this case?

There seems to be this urge of a lot of organisations these days to rush to say something online.

We don't need to speculate on what happened until the police have done their investigation, at least.

Seems the deaths are now under investigation

Definitely something a bit weird going on, not a standard gas leak story

yes - Those people creating strawmen should go and actually watch some of his great films - the pre-occupation/expectation to learn about circumstances seems an extension
of what people(genz in particular) believe they have in online parasocial(marketting) relationships.
- respect that the guy was off the grid.
