If you are not familiar with Honister I can guarantee you will hit it and say '&%$# me this can't be right' Get up that without walking you will be ok for the rest of the climbs.

Planning on getting a Ribble Sportive with Tiagra groupset. It'll set me back about £800. I won't be getting it until next Spring, but gotta start lusting after it now!

Just to tempt you - its reduced to £600 at the moment :)

But I reckon Ribble and Planet x are heading for a price war at the £1000 mark. The new Planet X carbon with Ultegra looks very good value. I also see Ribble have an EVO pro Carbon with centaur for the same money.

Yeah Pete, don't wait until spring you mental case. Take advantage of the end of season deals. All the prices will be back up by spring.

The PlanetX is at a stupidly great price at the moment, helped by the fact that that is now last year's Ultegra.

Its been 3 weeks since ive last been on the bike and ive got to wait about another month or so. Stupid operation. Ah well i guess health comes first. Itching to get back on with the decent weather we have been getting. hardly done any rides this year. Ive already put on half a stone since being idle and eating loads of junk at home so now im 1 stone of target weight of 11st, (start weight 16 and a half st)

YEAR-TO-DATE
Distance 2,033.3mi
Time 127hr 28m
Elev Gain 130,551ft
Rides 55

Re bar tape ,the best bar tape ive used is the Zipp service course tape, mega comfy.

Also ive been talking to a couple of mates about doing the IMUK some time in the future. Do you thing one year of training is a bit too optimistic?

Thought something had happened to keep you off the bike! :(
Had 2 boughts of illhealth this year that have kept me off the bike once for 3 weeks then for 5 weeks (holiday at the end of that one though) so can understand the frustration.

I have the Zipp tape on my new bike, fantastic stuff! Like a tennis racket tape in feel.

Cycling shop just trolled me :(

BAH! Stupid phone GPS failed on me. Both the app on my phone registered the same crap of me flying across from point to point. Looks like it was my phone going a bit blegh! A 18mile ride registered as 12 miles and no segments.

Oh well, lets hope it doesn't happen tomorrow when I go out for a climbing ride!

I had a look at it in the flesh today at the Excel Show thing. Bloody hell its lovely and so incredibly light. Even my Mrs gasped as she picked it up - the bike that is. I have told her I can build one for a 10th of the price - cue my FM066 SL order :) well she didn't say "no way". She is a would be biker also and has read The Rules, therefore she understands n+1

Its crazy how light some of those bikes they have on display at Excel are, my bike feels like a tank in comparison. I forget which bike it was, but one had a RRP of 19,999.

See uniQ's previous.

I was after some rim tape there and I ended up with a non-alcoholic beer and a freebie from Muc-Off that turned out to be some weird strapping / webbing this no obvious purpose.

I feel hard done by.

Edit: no idea why my iPhone posts end up with thumbs down. Weird and I can't get rid.
