Really liking the look of the Trek Madone 4.9 in RadioShack light blue as seen at the TDF.

Just need to find out a cost on it, I'm guessing about $3700...

I kept looking at it and thinking it was a Bianchi, what with the colour, and then being like "Huh, Trek?"

41 miles this morning.

We started out super slow because we had a new guy with us. I think he'd oversold his gear and ability... He was on a hybrid with front suspension and massive knobby tyres. He made it about 5 miles, just as we got to a cat 4 climb, and he bailed out. We met him at a cafe later on. Clearly we need some sort of vetting process!

Fast group wasn't as fast as I was expecting or hoped for. I think a few of them are racing tomorrow though. Route was pretty flat too :( 70mi @ 19.4mph w/ 3300ft

what's up with shops not delivering trek bikes? all of them are collect from store only

Trek's policy.

^ Oh dear. btw I would remove that image before a mod see's it.

e: Too late. btw I didn't report it.

First ride out without having to tag on some extra for training miles, so went for it and attacked a bit on the hills, had a bit of an issue with my knee about half way round though, have looked at bike fit and adjusted my cleat to hopefully resolve the issue.

Managed to get a couple of PBs on the earlier hills, and happy with my pace in the main, although got a few weekends away coming up so will have to work harder during the week to keep improving.

Considering all my options for frames and builds am I crazy if I buy an R3? Going to wait until the real sales start and also see what the Cervelo 2014 range looks like. If they bring internal cabling or an R7 then I might have to reconsider but an R3 is currently top of my list.

Managed to make it out with the local bunch with Tedmaul. Some nasty headwinds and crosswinds but it was a good experience riding in a bunch.

Need to learn to stay out of the inside of wheels though and not go as hard when I go on the front.

Was good to meet you man! They seem like a decent bunch of guys, and we had a good size group on the go for most of it as well. Definitely up for doing that again. Was my first time on a bunch ride like that too, really enjoyed it.

I've got this chap telling me I've ridden it more often and quicker than I'm letting on lol! A few of the guys set PR, but I didn't, mainly because it's the first time Strava has recorded I think, on the valley section me and graham were out in front for.

They are a nice bunch of guys, the guy we got in towards EK smokes about 20 fags a day :D

You are quick up climbs, I bet you can go quicker though.

Was a good day and nice to put a face to the name.
