Just received my Rapha Rising Roundel for completing (http://app.strava.com/challenges/rapha-rising-2013), I did 7567m in the 8 days of the challenge. Majorly helped by being in the French Alps for that period.

No idea what to do with the cub scout badge, might look out for a reduced TDF 100 t-shirt towards the end of the year and sew it on a sleeve

mine arrived too. may put it on my satchel or something.

Garmin make their money selling devices, not through their connect service. They benefit more from their loose affiliation with strava than they would from going it alone in some way.

The 810 has bluetooth connectivity got broadcasting your location and stats in real-time to Garmin Connect so that others can track you (I used something similar so the Mrs and the Kids could come and cheer me on on the RideLondon without hanging around).

There is no reason why data can't flow both ways.

I use the BuddyBeacon functionality of ViewRanger on my Nexus 4 when I'm out riding solo.

Ooh, I've been wondering about something like that. I try to tell my mrs roughly where I'm headed but obviously back roads in the arse end of nowhere mean nothing to her, and who says my route won't change, so something like that would be useful.

You guessed it! I went for some Castelli Body Paint 2.0 shorts. I hope they will see me through 150 miles in the saddle.

I think the credit came as a result of the "apricot fiasco". They refunded me the money but also seem to have put the same value on to my account as credit!

I don't get the whole aero thing on bikes. Surely the surface area of the front of the bike is already pretty aero, especially considering the great big squishy lump sat on top of it.
