thats one iv been mulling over, just they have two triban 3's on the decathlon site, ones the red one and the white one is listed as a different model on the french site and looks rather different. just thought id try local see what they can do, obviously not a lot.

What's your budget? Most places are discounting 2013 Giant's 20% now.
 
my budget atm it isnt a lot i was just phoning up to see what they have in or any possible deals on, but alas seems they just want to sell at rrp and to hell with it. i was expecting to spend around £500 when i get around to it and of course have some cash saved, currently im at £200 :( so the current deals are rather depressing to look at.

Some brands dont give bike shops the option to discount. They are forced to sell at rrp until an end of season sale or something.
I dont know if Giant do that though.

Indeed. I've got a deposit down on the Defy 1 in the White-Red-Black colours, the 2014 is pretty much the same spec but I really hate the colours available so I dash off to make sure I got the 2013 edition.

Just waiting for my bloody HR department at work to pay the CycleScheme for it! Its taking ages and I really want to be out on the bike as I have some time off now!!!!

Been hitting online shops sorting out all the gear for it in the meantime.

Most of them will & do discount they just don't advertise it online as to avoid upsetting the brands. See this all the time w/ Giant/Specialized etc.

Also with Ultegra now 11 speed for '14 models "should" be some nice close out deals on 13' Ultegra models. Often though the sales are pretty meh with a few shining stars like Westbrook's CR1's until quite late in the year when all is left are the extreme sizes for midgets and giants.

if you have been offered a bike worth £3200 to buy for half price (£1600)
would you take it? its ex team bike with 2013 ultegra etc

£1600 seems quite a lot for a second-hand ultegra bike i dont know what frame or wheels it has though.

A new Canyon ultimate cf with ultegra is £1900
 
if its not worth it, then I wont buy it, come home and my dad was like "YOU GOT 1600 QUID??"
I WAS GOING TO CALL HIM AND BUY IT, BUT THOUGHT ID ASK HERE FIRST
