If you are talking about LFGSS you need to make a list of things you don't like about it. All LFGSS threads have to include a list. It's the rules.

LOL - I just can't get over how precious they are about their bikes. I can appreciate an eye for aesthetics but they take it to a whole other level. Amazingly anal.

Downsides are that it takes up a lot of space and it weighs a lot so its difficult to move.

Thats a great idea, quite annoyed that I don't have room for a spin bike.

Thanks for that. I'll have a look later. I've seen an ad for the LeMond trainers as well, which have a cassette, so don't require a rear wheel at all. No idea how good they are though.

It's a forum that promises so much but... delivers so little. I'm surprised its members ever hang around long enough to bother posting anything, at the risk of the catty comments that get put on there. I followed an epic argument on there once that ended up in all sorts of threats and name-calling, but then never looked on there since

My god! I'm such an idiot lol.

Decided I'd go the longer way home(12 miles) for a bit of an effort rather than my rapid 20 minute home effort(7 miles).

Part of a road was closed so I took a diversion not realising it took me up the ardochrig which a lot of the guys use for training, I can see why now

.

Then my light died as the darkness came down and I'm on a NSL road....great thing skudding along at 30mph in the dark with cars passing at NSL.

More lights fella - I have two tail lights, two headlights, a LED Lenser torch in reserve and a couple of Fibre Flares on my backpack... you can never have too many especially on country roads.
Best thing I've bought for my bike so far!

Aye I had known I needed to charge the light but it would be fine for the distance home...didn't expect to be out in the wilderness rambo style.

I wish I could afford some ay up lights but I might get a cheapo XM-L T6 torch and run both on the bars and use it with a helmet mount when I go offroad.

I do have two rear lights - one flashing and one constant. I love the look of those fibre flares and wish I used a supplier that sold them but it seems I don't.

Why don't you use wiggle? For anyone else with a fibre flare, be very careful removing them from a bag when it's cold. Last year in the snow/ice/slush bit I managed to snap off both lugs within a week of each other, so mine is now fixed on with cable ties!

My seat post seems to have got stuck in the frame, even when the clip holding it in is removed. Anyone got any good ways of getting them free? I figure it's probably relating to inadequate maintenance and lubrication (sorry bike!)...

I work in a shop so can get stuff at trade+vat but a lot of the time its still cheaper online which is annoying!

What material is the frame and the seatpost? If it's aluminium in aluminium coca cola can do the trick but getting it in the frame would be a pain if you don't have the tools.

The seatpost is carbon fibre, the frame is carbon fibre too, but there's a sleeve of metal that goes around c. 350 degrees (open at the back) that I've been optimistically squirting lubrication at (and probably filling my frame with). Before I'd tried this, there were marks in the metal suggesting someone else had tried to pry this ring apart with a screwdriver. Odd, as I bought the bike new and don't think any shop that's serviced it would have adjusted the seat post. I tried this too, to no avail.

If it's lined with an alloy insert I'd go down the coca cola route as it just eats up that white poudery ***** pretty amazingly.

There's that many arguments about what to grease and not grease regarding carbon/carbon carbon/alloy. Some people say applying grease can make bare carbon swell hence two carbon parts getting stuck together.

Had the dreaded 'shrunken willy' after my ride this morning. God I was cold, but that's what happens if you wear thin tracksuit trousers I suppose. Time to bite the bullet and get some flocked full length cycling bibs I think. First time my legs will have touched lycra in many a year!

Light is also becoming an issue, not in terms of being seen, but in terms of seeing the road with all its lovely potholes and branches.

Jonny, could be cheeky but i'll ask anyway. Assuming there is enough interest of course, could you set up some sort of group buy with your shop? Fibre flares certainly I'd be interested in an other, but also consumeables? Maybe even certain clothes?

Aye i'd go in on that, been umming and ahhing over fibre flares for a few weeks now.
