Some of you guys are walking encyclopaedias! Thanks.

Will look into getting some rim tape asap, though my puncture wasn't 'normal' so i doubt it was caused by the lack of tape; the valve blew out. Very old tube.

I had a really weird sensation this morning. Hard to explain it, but the ligaments on the top of my ankle (which were torn the most) were sore, as they have been for most days since I started cycling again. However, about 5 miles in I had a weird feeling like my foot was no longer attached. I seriously had to look down to make sure all was ok.

Is your ankle still swollen? I remember you posting about your ankle a while ago.
I did the same with mine (playing footy, fracture and ligament damage) on the 5th Sept and it's still pretty big now. :(

Yep its still swollen, especially on the top. It's gone down an awful lot, but it took me..roughly 2 months to be able to get into a shoe.

I sense something in your future...a visit to the Doctors. That sounds nasty - still sore now?

How is that saddle? I'm considering changing, even though I've had this saddle for a while it's not...as comfortable as it could be on longer rides.

It's sore now, as it has been after every ride since I started riding again :p. It's not particularly more sore than normal though, and I'm walking around ok so I guess its part of the recovery. I've got my normal physio session tomorrow so I'll mention it and see what they say.

I love mine, I've got one on the CR1 and I'm transferring the one form the S1 to Burls this evening. For me there's no reason to look for anything else.

As far as rear lights go my Exposure Flares are the best cable free lights I've seen. Need to up the output at the front though. Just popped into Condor to see how much they do Exposure Stradas for; the answer is £50 more than Sigma and I'll be passing Sigma on the way home.

They refused price match as well.

I have an LED Lenser on my helmet, and some £40 Eurolights, with a rechargeable battery pack on my handlebars, from amazon of all places. They are excellent, and to my surprise have lasted into their second winter now. I'd normally expect lights that cheap not too.

I would ideally get Exposures, but they're just a bit too expensive for me to part with money for them.

My Xmas list for the Mrs also includes an Exposure Joystick with a Redeye Rear (fnarr, fnarr). I plan to look like an Xmas tree this year. If people point and laugh that means they have seen me.

Yeah I'm on 700x23c at the moment, but looking to switch to 700x25 for winter treads, so I'll pass and just get a wet arse.
What lights are they Johnny?

And welcome to the thread Memphisto!

They are tacx lumos lights. They aren't gonna set the world on fire or light a main road but they do look pretty bright from the front in the dark.

RRP is £20 but the usual suspects have them reduced already.

None in stock anywhere it seems. They look like a great addition to my ever growing christmas tree collection.

Yeah I sold those to Saundie last year because I couldn't fit them to my tri bike. I don't think they'd fit my road bike either but I'll go try the alan key trick right now.

Right. I can get, just, a 5mm alan key between the tyre and fork top. I remain to be convinced but if you want to chuck them my way I'll take them back Saundie.
