Italia

Anyone cycled in north of Italy before? Looks like I'm going with g/f to Stresa in summer, North West of Milan on the Swiss border. Looks bloody incredible and as a bonus we'll be able to do the second half of the Giro stage 18, some 8k ft.

Went with the Wahoo TICKR after hearing about Garmin strap probs - I also wanted a HRM with a replaceable battery (CR2032). It's worked perfectly on my evolution from iPhone->S5->Garmin as it's BTLE & ANT+ compatible.

Second vote for Wahoo TICKR here, been spot on since Christmas.

Cheers. Followed you back :)

Edit: Apologies in advance for my spammy 4/5 rides per day btw...

Edit2: You're actually not that far from me either. Bonus :)

Indeed you are. I've had a bief browse through your rides... Do you ever head over towards Buxton/Macclesfield area?

I haven't for a while due to the dodgy weather but I wouldn't mind changing that sometime if you fancied meeting up for a ride. I need to get some more hills in :)

can I ask a slight silly question

Been reading up about caring for all my cycling clothes, and because I use the washing machine for everything (on delicate cycle) they say to put bib shorts in mesh bags to avoid the straps snagging on other clothes , anyone use mesh bags ? if so what size ones do you use? Thanks

oh and still not out on the bike :(

Lots of women use mesh bags for bras and stuff - just get whatever fits in your clothes.

If you don't fancy going to a shop and buying a lingerie bag then you can can probably get away with a pillow case.

Thanks - sorry if you get annoyed with my multiple rides. I Strava absolutely everything :) but I get the impression that your the same!

Yup, I do..so no worries on that front :)

I would add you as your local and I'd like to nosey your routes, but your commute rides would annoy me :p

Understandable. It's a shame that there's not some option for filtering people's updates in Strava to be honest.

A friend of mine went to Italy a year or so ago to do some cycling. He said the roads were excellent. He also said that there's loads of native cyclists about who are all very lithe and in very fancy kit, and he felt a bit out of place :p
