Yup, I do..so no worries on that front :)

Understandable. It's a shame that there's not some option for filtering people's updates in Strava to be honest.

yup its a mystery why you can select 'Commute' on some uploads but not be able to filter them out of your news feed. Or can you do that now? I'm sure I've read a million threads on Strava forums about people asking for this and it never happening.

I'd probably record mine if I could do that, then my Fitness & Freshness bit on Premium would be more accurate.

Has anyone noticed you can spam the Kudos button on Strava? :D If you click multiple times after the initial click, it adds additional kudos. My record so far is 14 :D

Decided to take a longer commute, as I left work early today. Hit headwind to begin with, and I just seemed to get more and more tired. Got home, and had a rear puncture. I had 2 punctures for the whole of last year, and then this year, 2 in a week :/

I wonder if you can make it default to a commute (or some other tag) when recording - I can't imagine I'd have the patience to go back and update my 4 commutes a day every single day but it wouldn't be much of a pain updating my weekend/evening rides with the correct tag.

A friend of mine went to Italy a year or so ago to do some cycling. He said the roads were excellent. He also said that there's loads of native cyclists about who are all very lithe and in very fancy kit, and he felt a bit out of place :p
Yeah, the Italians take looking good on their bikes VERY seriously! Why do you think Campagnolo kit looks so fancy? :D

And yet if you use something like, say, John O'Keeffe's strava annual summary, it pulls all that data and you can then filter it for commutes. It's all in there, it's just that strava themselves aren't making it available to end users.

Haha! A guy I've ridden with logs his 1.1 mile commutes every day and gets grief off another mate of mine... I might have to have a bash at that and kudos the hell out of his ride home one day :D

Jaily has closed now & is probably being developed into flats!:(

I don't know many Daves, none from Hereford anyway. SLOOOOOW is not a problem, I really need to work on pacing myself and my stamina anyways. I've not gone further than about 16 miles on the road, only on the turbo have I 'gone' further! Hoping some Trainerroad and sweet-spot help with that!

The main 'loop' I do is Ledbury road->Mordiford->Holme Lacy->Rotherwas as that direction is in easy reach for me living south side, but one of the main things for me is to find more local loop routes! Without too many hills! ;)

Catch you on Strava! :)

I'm out between Hereford and Bromyard but often ride over to a mate who lives by Mordiford. We quite often take the big bikes up Haugh woods.... Never late on the weekend though!

I think about 40 was my longest ride though that was all flat on the Bristol Bath cycle path.

Could be a sign your tyres are getting pretty worn? Combined with the time of year... Much more debris on the roads?

you got a free wash bag with your bibs ? :(

Yeah but he has to walk everywhere like this

I went back through in December to add the Commute tag to all of my work rides... All ~250 of them (took me 2 days while things were quiet leading upto xmas). IpBike had auto-tagged Commutes, but Garmin does not... Even with a ride profile setup for commuting, Gah!

Edited for you.

Lots of good riding around Hereford but the state of the roads and the traffic is shocking! Not to mention some of the driving!

Another 45 minute turbo this evening. Better and worse than Sunday nights. 'Travelled' further, more knackered than before and cadence was up but realised i was in the wrong gear for half the session  https://www.strava.com/activities/247033294

Plus some 'Tart' followed me on Strava :p

Strava's full of tarts these days :p

Looks like a good session though - what's your trainer setup?

Good ride this evening. Fairly spinny - I'd have liked to have seen my cadence, but I've no sensor on that bike. Mind you, I set out to try to ride without fretting about numbers, so I deliberately left my HRM on the shelf and didn't put the backlight on my Garmin on and just rode how I felt. It turned out pretty well all told.

As I was riding through Hindley I passed some girl who said to her mate "Blimey, he's going fast." I'm in there :D
