If anyone else is interested in a L black DHB commuter (can't buy them anymore from wiggle?) I'll sell it for £20 (think I paid ~£40 a couple of months ago and it's in great condition still! I picked up the EQ2.5 for a similar price - I love a Wiggle sale! ;)). Have a Macro Duo up for grabs too, I'm gonna have to start putting things on eBay soon methinks!

Any pics of the jacket?

I've heard they're good but no experience of it directly!

What mobile do you have? Have you still got your speed & cadence sensors (GSC10?)? You could always load IpBike onto your handset providing your phone (Android) has ANT+ sensors :)

As mentioned before, how many miles have your tyres gone? Your number of punctures so far this year is a bit excessive! :(
iPhone4S - still got cadence sensors, but they're the new type with accelerometers. I would need an ANT+ adapter to connect my sensors up.

As for the tyres, the whole bike is exactly 1 month old. 294.2 miles completed on them.

Has anyone had any experience with SKS Raceblade Longs?

edit: nvm..they've been discontinued. Looks like for now I'm going to be messing about trying to get my old cruds to fit on and for a more long-term solution I'll have to grab some pclips/equivalent.

Anyone ridden a Dolan Prefissio bike? How is it? You can pick the frame up for £200, so I'm thinking I might buy a frame and then strip my TDF and transfer all the parts over (with a couple of minor upgrades en route) and hopefully end up with a much better winter bike/commuter/beater for not too much outlay.

Obviously this is a long term plan, given all my money is currently going into the single speed I'm building... :D

Beware that swapping parts from one frame to another is always more expensive than anticipated.
Headset, bottom bracket, seat post, seat post clamp, front derailleur attachment and cable lengths can all be different between frames and chances are you'll need to buy a few of these parts.

I'll take some tonight for you, I believe a tart is interested too but it might be a little large for him?

It's this one in Large, if they had any left in high-viz yellow I'd buy one without a second thought. Compared to the EQ2.5 the fabric feels slightly denser and possibly more waterproof... Not had a decent amount of rain in my EQ2.5 yet! ;)

I miss the front pockets already! (EQ2.5 has none, only some small internals).

The price I quoted (£20) was to include postage which I thought fair at £5 (so £15 for jacket if you wanted to arrange your own postage/courier/pickup).

Low miles, see if you can find some reviews of the tyres to see if they are particularly prone to punctures rather than just having terrible luck! :(

Yeah you'd need an iPhone ANT+ adaptor. What's your HRM? You might find a non-Garmin HRM is BTLE compatible so would work with the iphone (and the Strava app) without anything extra (thinking along the line of some sweet-spot zone training while you wait for your repair). I wouldn't spend £35 on an adaptor unless I had another use for it (you could get a Cateye with Cadence for around the same price).

Think Wheelies had several raceblades when I bought my giant guards a month ago, worth checking!

My cobbled together monstrosity of a read mudguard finally completely died today. I'm thinking of getting some SKS Chromeplastics to replace it but I need to read up on suitable mounting options for my XLS carbon/no-mudguard-mounts-because-the-designers-are-idiots frame.

Stopgap get an ass-saver? Or a cheapy guard from Aldi (used mine while waiting for my Giant guards!).

I've got some Crud RR's spare but I think the rear is slightly damaged (one of the stays is slightly broken).

I just use my triban 3 on the cycleops fluid 2. I think i did two and a half turns / three turns once it touches the back wheel and I sit on 4 / 5th highest gear or in tonight's case 3rd highest gear for half of the session! Usually use this video when I'm on the turbo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSFYRiqodvU I have looked for ones slightly longer but only find ones that suggest rpms which i cant 'accurately' measure or the next one up from ctxc is a 90 minute one which I don't quite feel up to yet :p

Lots of other videos around with effort levels on them you could use, including the Sufferfests - most have cadence (which you can try and follow if you know your usual cadence, you could use them as a guide) but most have effort levels too! :)

My calfs are feeling tight after this mornings commute (strong headwind & gusty sidewinds), I used it for some resistance training at the start but once I felt a few strong sidewinds I dropped gears and upped cadence for more control.

As much as I joke about it being a tailwind on the way home I doubt it ever will be! May attempt myself a recovery ride home, but I don't really do them so will just be another high-cadence slightly-lower-speed ride!

Need to get myself working with these power/FTP and HR zones!

Chromoplastics here on my Ridley, and no issues, just needed to buy the aero adapters in addition for the front fork.

If I'm reading it right, the Dolan comes with headset, seat post and clamp, a derailleur attachment for £15 extra... I don't mind buying new cables (colour co-ordination, bitches) and I think the BB shell is the same so I assume I can just swap the square taper BB across... Though it only costs like £10 for a new one if needs be.

I'd probably be looking at spending about £300 for the frame and some replacement parts (new brake calipers, new chainrings, new mechs) so a couple of extra bits won't fuss me too much.

Still a bit of a noob with bike mechanics. I'm looking at different tyres for the CX bike. I was looking at Schwalbe Durano, as they seem to have better puncture protection.
However the tyres are 700 x 23c. The tyres that came on the bike are 700 x 35c, can I still use them?

I assume I just need to use the tubes as my road bike, but if someone can confirm before I buy a set I'd be grateful!

I always assumed that 23c, 25c and 35c etc were the tyre widths but I know from changing my Giants 700x25c to 700x23c that it's more than width (as I now have more clearance to my guards too!).

Guessing it's more like the overall tyre diameter/circumference size through a cross section when inflated to correct PSI?!

Nice replacement Gilet turned up from Chain Reaction todayafter the toggle bust on my old one! Black instead of blue though, although need to send some bits to Endura so will be seeing if they can fix this too, might not mention it was accident damaged after coming off last week! :D

Turbo session tonight, English, 300Watts for 60 seconds 7 times, 50 second rest, 8 minutes rest then repeat again! Hard work!
