some cyclists..
and here's the lovely female specimen.. - hard to see but pay attention to the light and when she starts running/crawling through the road.. - the light clearly was red before she started crossing, talk about double standards!

on that note I got shouted at by a *not so bright female specimen* today.. I was approaching a crossing, bam see it's amber(clearly been red for a while for pedestrians) and she starts crossing with her kid, and screams, calls me the C word etc.. why are people like that allowed to go outside? ;( - I'll see if I can get it from my virb haha!

They see me rollin, hatin'.

Edited for you.

I tend to use GT85 on those bits tbh (as in, quick blast after I clean them).

GT85 to lube derailleur

Yeah. I normally give them a clean out with some WD40 or GT85.

I've only been using chain lube and then only applying it to the chain after cleaning... Might explain why I always see rust on my cassette as I never treat it with anything... Oooops I hadn't really realised I should be! :o

Will have some GT85 on the way shortly!

Very enjoyable actually: https://www.strava.com/activities/260059369 :)

My Aldi waterproof socks were pretty good. My feet got cold, but at least they were dry.

Followed, great ride too! Which socks are they? I didn't see any waterproof ones from Aldi last time I looked...

Rim tape - what's that :p
You want wheels without those silly spoke holes, MoMag : http://www.campagnolo.com/WW/en/Technologies/momag

I don't quite grasp the concept, surely for them to move freely within the rim they would then have to match up to a hole in it for the spoke to fit through, therefore there's still a hole in the rim?

Re: Astana, it's one thing after another with that team... But surely if they reviewed the audit and changed their mind about the findings then isn't it whoever carried out the audit that was at fault (proven by other evidence) not really the team? Unless it wasn't an impartial audit (which defeats the whole purpose of one!)

Shame for Nibali if nothing else :(

Dekker hour record should serve as a lesson to any other attempting it, more planning required! It's not just riding the bike! :p:rolleyes:

Well the team was pretty definitely at fault no matter what, but it does seem like they found new evidence in order to actually do something this radical. I suspect money might have changed hands.

There are holes on the outer rim for the spoke nipple to fit into but the inner rim where the tube and tyre fit has no holes. Instead the nipples are inserted via the tube valve hole and guided into place using magnets. Hence why you don't need rim tape.

This explains the process better.

Your explanation explained it more than the website ever could ;)

It's about time really.

Best 'quote-taken-out-of-context-ever' ;)

So instead of WD40 or GT85 to lube derailleur and brake pivot points, what do people use?

I picked up a couple of those 3M Oil Pens from Aldi. They look a bit like a Tip-Ex pen and have tiny nozzle that you can poke into exactly where you want the oil to go, give it a squeeze and it dispenses a small amount of oil. Very quick and clean.

Arrrr oops. I had forgotten I had made my profile private. Added back.

They were Dexshell Waterproof Breathable Socks. Looks like you can get them elsewhere too.

Yeah... I'm intrigued though I'm still pretty down on 28mm. You going to get a pair for your SS?

I'd much rather they just made some 25mm SC Grip tbh...

I have a pair of 28mm Vittoria Rubino's waiting to go on, but I'll replace them with something better when they wear out. P4Es will be a strong contender, as I'm hoping this bike can become my commuter, assuming I can manage the couple of short climbs on the route there and back. The gearing is 48*18, and the worst gradient is about 7%, so it should be do-able without my knees falling off, we shall see. After all, the record for climbing the Rake in Rambsottom, which hits 25% near the top, was set by someone riding a single speed 42*19 so clearly it can be done...

Thanks & I'll have a read of some reviews, although this winter I've not had wet feet so far... Overshoes are the way forwards! I can only remember of one instance of me getting wet feet since I switched to SPD and that may have not involved overshoes! (can't remember as was a while ago!)

Another vote for some 25mm SC Grips!

I'm going 25mm once I wear these 23mm's pro4's out. It may involve some 'tweaking' with my guards but they need a lot of that already

We'll see how my patience is with them as I do have a new set of the Raceblade Longs here... ;)
