Did you check your junk folder? Or are you sure you did it during the promotion period? I received verification that I would receive a voucher almost immediately after receiving email confirmation. Then had my voucher sent middle of October and was valid until yesterday.

You had until midnight on the 30th Sept if I remember correctly.

Just checked my order history and it was placed 30 September 2012 at 21:27:09 But I never received a voucher confirmation email. I'll check my junk mail when I get home. And if not it might be worth getting in contact with Wiggle. I was planning on spending it on a set of lights.

Checked my emails. Order placed 22nd and I received my voucher on the 15th here is a cached copy of the terms:

I did pretty well as I also used a 20% code that was also valid :p

You shouldn't have a flashing forward light for road use.

I thought as long as you have a static and a flashing light it's fine?

Flashing alone would make it difficult for people to gauge your distance.

It's legal to have only flashing lights. The law changed in 2009, I think.

I think best practice would still be to have at least one fixed light.

Anyone else signed up for the dragon ride today? I've gone all in for the 208km route.. Haven't done a sportive before and the furthest I've ridden is about half that distance! Going to be doing a LOT of training over the next 7-8 months!!

I know it was made legal, I just don't agree with it. Both as a cyclist and driver. They are awfully distracting.

But that's sort of the point....not to the extreme of course.

My cateye light on the front is VERY weak. If both my other front lights failed, there's no way I'd be able to cycle home just on that.

But flashing, it's bright enough to be seen, but no where near bright enough to dazzle or distract a driver....in my opinion.

Anything flashing is more noticeable than a solid light, hence why I use one.

came of my bike today! :) 23c tyres + leaves + concrete tiles = me on the floor! wasn't fun! :D no injuries tho was doing max 10mph

I can't really do sportives because they're all on Sundays and we go to church... uh... religiously. I might manage one or two, if I can persuade swmbo, and I can blag at least one if I do it for charity. I think in the future I'll be more interested in touring anyway so I'll do 3-4 day tours in the week and still make it to church when I'm done :D

In other news, I got out again this evening. Not too cold yet, but wet and windy. It's getting hard to push on for my strava achievements... I think I've said before that for a few months just getting out will be the main achievement.

[Damien] - check the ride I've just posted on strava. You should be able to spank the segment that I scored 5th place on, it you fancy another KoM!

Experiencing the first problems with my magicshine clone ebay light.

Either the battery is knackered, the charger is knackered, or something else.

Plugged it in to charge last night.....then this morning.....nothing. Not even the green light on the back comes on (which comes on as sson as you connect the battery).

Those who have this light.....when does the green light on the charger come on? When it's connected? When it's full?

I'll ask one of our electrical engineers at work to have a look at it today and report back :)

Oh no! Can you link to the one you bought?

Also, to the guy with the green Felt bike, I wouldn't mount the battery there unless you have mudguards, it'd be better placed under the top tube where the seat tube meets it.
