Can anyone suggest a bike lock?

Kryptonite New York M18 which cost £67 from Amazon.
Apparently it will take 5 minutes to cut through with an angle grinder.
This is right outside the office window before anybody mentions the fence.

Ahhh booo, i've already used that one!! Have you fitted them yet? Ribble say they will fit my bike ok so i'm gonna order a set esp after the filth picked up from the road yesterday and it wasn't even raining or wet!!

i did fit them on my triban 3(quite tight) but i can't fit the front nose piece because it wont stay straight(The cable tie kinda "Twists" the whole thing) and i can't straighten it.. but over all the fitting was fiddly but easy and they do work well! :) my ass was dry and my chainset etc is clean!

can anyone advice me on this please...

was out riding on sunday when my chain snapped.

the chain clips back together again but it is missing the top plate that keeps the link together.

can i get just this piece and fix it at home or should i get a new chain?

bike is a gt avalanche 2.0 disc (i think 2010)

Rode to work on my mountainbike, never again, after 17 miles i was almost dead, but a plus was that the Magicshine Clone with wide angle lens works an absolute treat.

How many gears does it have?

You can replace the link with something like a KMC missing link but it depends how wide your chain is and that depends how many gears you have.

Hi road bike enthusiasts, I know very little about road bikes, however im wanting to get my Dad a set of wheels for xmas to upgrade his Giant Defy 3.5 stock wheels. Can someone tell me if (provided the rear groupset is compatible) these wheels will fit ok? Probably a noob question but they are a great price at the moment and I want to snap them up while the 10% off voucher is still active, and as Ribble only seem to do a 7 day return policy I would rather there was no issues with fitting them.

They are available in Shimano 8/9/10, which I assume is compatible with SRAM as well? From what I remember that is what his rear cassette is, but the shifters and derailleurs are Shimano.

Edit - just drove over and checked, the rear cassette is SRAM 8 Speed.

Hey guys, need some advice here please :)

Have got a Cotic Roadrat which I absolutely adore.. and is currently set up with single speed and hydro discs. However I'm wanting to start going longer distances and I guess have a bit more practicality from my setup... sooo its time for gears and some drop bars!

I have lots of experience with mountain bike components and fitting them, but not so much with road ones (what's good, SRAM or Shimano etc). Just going to go for a 9/10 speed setup rather than having a front derailleur as well

So I'm thinking for a complete setup I'm gona need:

Drop Handlebars+tape
Shifters/brake levers
Front and rear brakes
Rear Derailleur
Cassette
Chain
Shifter

Have a budget of around £250-300, I guess any advice on what product groupsets to avoid and what's good in for this amount of money?

Thanks for your help

I'd check the classified ads on bikeradar to make the most of that budget.

Cool thank you King, I think I would prefer to buy new for peace of mind but I will keep an eye on classifieds to see if I can find any bargains.

Is there any specific product groups I should go for, Shimano Ultegra always seems to be popular?
