What does the Enduro one have? Chain Reaction Cycles have 25% off the 800 but don't have the Enduro bundle.

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Categories.aspx?CategoryID=1833

Merlin say:

  • Trail Bundle - Includes UK Discoverer 1:50k Ordnance Survey mapping : £349
  • Enduro Bundle - Includes Uk Discoverer 1:50k Ordnance Survey mapping, heart rate strap and speed/cadence sensor : £389
  • Road Performance Bundle - Includes European City Navigator mapping, heart rate strap and speed/cadence sensor : £389

I want the 1:50k UK mapping for MTBing (as well as road cycling) plus also for walking, the HRM strap (will double as a spare for my 310XT for running) and the cadence sensor for the road bike.

Guys, i missed the track cycling today, and ive been looking on the BBC website to find out if they will be repeating it and i dont think they are? can someone check for me please?

all i can see on the website is , theres one tommorow at 1pm, but thats not a repeat? im confused

I went out on the MTB today on a road run with some mates (they are on MTBs hence me following suit) and it was shocking how slow you feel with all the extra drag from tyres and weight, much nicer over the muddy parts of road and OMG i love disc brakes ;)

Anyhoo, i am getting new kit as ive said above and i want some winter gloves - i have a set of endura gloves but my fingers got freezing today, any thing you guys can recommend mainly for road riding but warm!!!?

Got it - quite impressed with it. :) Possibly won't need more than medium brightness on as the lighting beam is wide enough to allow me to see a bit.

Less than £40 with 2 batteries and a charger. :)

If it last 1 hour on full brightness i'm happy. It lasted about 2 hours but then in the third hour light went to virtually nil. But i hadn't charged the battery up - i ran it flat and have now stuck it on charge. :)

I've been looking to get some new bar tape for my Specialised Allez 2010. The original tape is still going strong, it's not worn away or falling out of place, but I've seen a few bikes with much thicker tape (i.e. so I'd be holding onto a thicker bar) which is the only reason I'm thinking of changing it.

I've seen the following tapes:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sram-supercork-bar-tape/
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bike-ribbon-eleganza-bar-tape/
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/prologo-skintouch-gel-bar-tape/

Got a few questions:

1) I assume that they come in rolls of two, or in a single roll is enough to do a both sides of the bars?
2) Is it easy enough for a noob to do?
3) Are the tapes I've linked above going to be any thicker then the tape I've got above or are they all a standard thickness?
4) If they're not going to be any thicker, is it possible to wrap over the top of the existing tape? Or is that a stupid idea because it wont stick?

Thanks for any help

You could go for this, slightly more pricey - http://www.wiggle.co.uk/fizik-microtex-bar-tape-with-gel-pads/

There are decent tutorials on how to wrap bars on youtube.

You'll find that most bar tape is pretty much the same thickness, although I've just started using Lizardskins which comes in two versions. If you want more padding then you can get gel pads to insert under the tape, or you can double wrap it.

Chances are that the bikes you've seen just have newer tape on as it tends to compress over time.

In a pack you will generally get two roles, some extra cuts to cover the shifter clamps, some tape to seal the ends and a couple of bar end plugs.

It's relatively easy to do although the tape you choose makes a difference. If you get something that stretches then its far easier to put on that something with no give.

Could I recommend Roubaix tape?

Or the same tape with gel pads will give a bit more thickness (reduces all vibrations, did 500 miles in France this summer without any gloves!)
