I rode to work once on my MTB.....never again!

Full sus bike, with 2.4 inch chunky tyres does not keep it's speed well at all! On the plus side, it was nice to be able to ride over potholes and crap bits of road without feeling a thing.

Chunky knobbly tyres sure do have quite a lot of rolling resistance, them on the road is far from ideal. Running semi slicks makes things far nicer, and I find between 40-50 psi gives you some comfort over potholes. However I have a hardtail so i can imagine a full bounce bike will sap more peddle power especially up hills!

Hmm, im a M in DHB so L castelli, ive dropped quit a few kilos lately and none of my trousers or jeans fit - should i chance M castelli or are they that much smaller?

I would definitely try the large first.

For info I'm a 31 in waist and could barely fit into the M Castelli free aero bibs to try them on

Can anyon e tell me the difference between the Sram PC1031 and PC1051 chains?
CRC have them for £15 and £18 respectivly but only difference I can see is the PC1031 is 6g lighter?

Pretty much, the 1031 is just a bit chunkier.

I'd recommend the 105 chain (or the Ultegra one) - even with a SRAM groupset I think the Shimano chains are quieter. Although that's only my experience!

So, I bought some polished silver H Plus Son Archetypes to replace the open pros on my hope hubs. Unfortunately I suddenly realised my hope hubs were black and that simply won't do with silver rims.

Currently looking at White Industries T11 hubs. My god they are pretty.

I bought a couple 3LC turbo trainer dvds, i got to say these are brilliant, done the Road Race on monday and the Sprint one last night, holy mackerel they are intense, i upped the resistance on the turbo for the Sprint one and actually felt sick after it:D

haha - but wouldn't it be cheaper to return the polished ones and get the matt black anodised ones than get new hubs?

Also Royce do some polished hubs

I've already got the anodised black ones on Chris King R45s and these are to go on a naked Ti frame. I think it's got to be silver.

I've actually got a pair of silver 105 hubs kicking around but I'm planning on putting some silver Velocity A23 rims on those.
