I'm not *that* bothered about cadence, but I obviously need speed/distance/elevation, and I'd rather a better history option then the ubiquitous Cateyes seem to have. I'd also like to be able to sync it to my Garmin profile like I can with my Forerunner 205.
Get an Garmin Edge 500, all the features of the 800 just without the Sat Nav mapping.

My Ebay purchase turned up today - absolutely delighted with it - haven't weighed it yet but its definitely lighter than my carbon madone - not bad for a steel bike, although its probably the heavy TT wheels on the madone not helping!

Big drop to the bars but surprisingly comfy - the reach is perfect for me and put me in a very aero position :)

Brian Rourke handbuilt steel (dedacciai 1.6) frame (built for Sean Kelly)
Dura Ace group set
FSA Carbon wing handlebars
Ultegra wheels

Massive increase in numpties on their bikes this morning!
Give us all a bad name etc etc.
I don't recall seeing quite so many this time last year. I've also noticed quite a lot of men on hardtails not wearing a helmet plodding along at less than 10mph... I guess the nice weather draws them out!

I've had enough of the discomfort I experience on the bike, so I am planning on getting a professional bike fitting. [DOD]Asprilla, do you recommend Sigma Sports? I don't drive, so wherever I get it done is going to have to be in (or reasonably close to) London, so I'd appreciate any suggestions within that restriction :)

The best in London is supposed to be The Bike Whisperer in Ealing, but if that's too far then Sigma are good. Putney Cycles are also recommended, as are Bike Lab in Richmond.

Need to replace the pedals/shoes on my road bike I think, still using my MTB SPDs

Tempted to go for :

I also need a new helmet :( still using a fairly basic bulky specialized.

You think I should pop down the LBS and try a few shimano shoes on? Or take a pot shot at these? As for helmets, was thinking about picking up the Giro Atmos.

Normally, Vader, I'd only ever recommend trying on road shoes. But the DHB shoes are pretty good on their sizing, and Wiggle are the best I've found, bar none, about returns, so it's worth a punt.

Oh and I'd avoid that pedal wrench at all costs. It's too flimsy and just not worth it in my opinion - I've had one and I upgraded to this one.

Ah cheers :) was 50/50 but looking around as you have said seems like everyone seems to rate the shoes and they do seem to be a fairly accurate sizing. Thankfully my feet are pretty standard.

Now that is Proper with a capital P. Lovely bike, like it a lot.

Just ordered myself a Felt Z100 for commuting to work, 27 miles each way. Currently doing it on my old Ridgeback fast hybrid, which is great- light and quick, but my hands have started to get pins and needles, so I decided there's space in the garage for a drop-barred bike. Was so tempted to go for the F95 instead, but common sense prevailed. In the second half of the Norwich 100, I know I'll be happy I made that decision.

Would love to build a proper steel framed roadie like that though. Most of today's riders have no idea how great a steelie feels.

Whatever you do, DO NOT use Bespoke Cycles in Hoxton Sq. I had a dreadful experience with them. I've now booked a new appointment with the Bike Whisperer at the start of May.
