ah.. can't wait to get my roadie! :O can anyone answer my question? just how WEAK are the wheels? i know it depends on the wheel but are they a lot weaker than lets say "cheap mtb" wheels?

jumping off kerbs and stuff will be fine if you land smoothly

Sounds like you have some skillzzz so you should be ok

I was reading an article yesterday in cycling weekly about bike jumble sales and I wasn't even aware there was such a thing so I googled around and found one 25 miles away that was by chance today. Wanted to cycle somewhere so figured it was worth the 50 miles round trip.

I looked up the prices of my bits and the Assos toe covers are £33, the skull cap £35. I paid £5 each . They had loads of dhb stuff too. I saw a deuter bag for £30 just looked it up and they retail for £150

I can't wait for next months. Going to fill my boots, literally. :)

So that's where all the stolen gear turns up......

May not be true, but it would be a bit of a worry for me.

I help out at a local cycle jumble. There's a really good community feel about it, and most of the sellers and buyers are people we know from the trails and cafes anyway

Having problems with logging in to Garmin Connect

I managed to create a new course, and it wouldnt let me upload it to my garmin, so i think i fixed that, but now i cant log in, but i can log in onto the main garmin site, but not the connect site, anyone else having problems?

Considering the event is run by charity and volunteers and has been going on for sometime I seriously doubt it. I also cherry picked some of the best bits. There was plenty of tat for sale too. Some new, some used etc. And the reason some of it was so cheap is because hardly anything had prices on and I don't think half the volunteers really new the value of most of the stuff or the differences between the brands they had on offer so they just ad-libbed prices which was evident in watching people get wildly different quotes on the same items depending on who they asked.

The only problem I have is since the last Chrome update it no longer detects the communicator plugin so I have to use a different browser.

I think it's going to be difficult to find a place convenient for everyone that doesn't require much initial travel. Richmond Park main gate is a 30min cycle from where I live.

I think could travel to Richmond once in a while;) never been there since moved to London :)

What days you would think of? Saturdays or Sundays?
Would prefer Sundays as I row on Saturdays in the mornings - 730am until 10is-11ish...

Unless plan would be to travel in the early morning.

If that would be the ccase, would anyone be carrying bike pump and other tools? Not keen to go all the way with rowing kit and carry all the tools as well ;)

Never had a puncture but you never know;)

And do we know what distance we would be making??

And most important : when would we meet? Few weeks time?

I've still not got my Garmin to read correctly.

I measured my rollout as 2119mm, so did what I thought was correct to set this.

Menu > Settings > Bike Settings > Bike 1 > Bike Details > More > Wheel Size - Manual - 2119mm

But it still didn't log speed/distance correctly. I have attached an image showing my setup, this logged properly when I tested it (Green LED for wheel and Red for Cadence).

Is the line on the spoke magnet lined up? I thought mine wasn't so centered but I can't be sure without going outside to check my bike.

How old is the kit? May need the battery changing or something.

I had no problem with wheel size auto detection, once it's done you can check if it's correct in the options or just manually set it.

Off for another 60 miler today, fresh @ 4c but looks like a glorious day.

It's brand spanking new, I will check the spoke magnet line and reset it. I was trying to show the distance from the magnet to the detector.

I set that as close as I thought was safe, I could possibly move it in one notch but that would risk touching then I think.

If you move the wheel past the sensor you should hear a faint clicking noise. Then you know if it is lined up correctly and registering wheel movement.

I never set the wheel size on mine, it just automatically worked that one out somehow!
