my Park Tools chain scrubber seems to work wonders, cleaned the bike this week, and i finnished off the bottle you get with the scrubber, and i cant seem to be able to find it to buy another bottle, so whats a good alternative? ideally cheap as poss becuase it uses a lot! so looking for a big bottle

thanks

yeah it came with my park tools set, but its very expensive, looking for an alternative

You can buy 5L bottles of generic citrus degreaser for the same price which will work just as well.

Nice one. My degreaser ran out ages ago. I had been using some random degreaser spray from pound land, but now that has been used up. Chain could do with a proper clean.

guys, I've just changed the pads on my brakes but I forgot to note what way round they where!
they have little fins on one side, and are open one end, I'm guessing the open end faces the back of the bike and the fins point down? or am I getting this totally wrong?

Are there any directional arrows on the pads? I only ask as when I changed mine I had the same problem until I noticed the arrows :o

My commuter is so filthy....just looking at it makes your hands dirty!

That said, I can't bring myself to do anything other than clean/lube the chain until spring. It will just get filthy again in a matter of days!
