:D This is what happens when you get married, get a mortgage and then the wife decides to start Uni! I've managed to convince her that I really need a new bike despite having only racked up 114 miles on my Carrera!

Edit : by 18 months, I mean sticking it as an accessory on the cyclescheme, I'm not getting some sort of 18month interest free loan :o

Right standard tyres it is!

Order going in!

Really? I thought 170mm was the default size? I've always had 170mm.

Don't say that, I was just about to order a 172.5!!

Don't worry about it. I've had my current bike 7ish months and I've just ordered a new one. It's a disease..

I can imagine, especially now I'm leaving room for improvement on the wheels & tyres now!

I currently ride 172.5 cranks but I'm 5'9 with stumpy legs. My new bike's coming with 170 ones. It wasn't intentional, I just didn't read the spec properly before I ordered. Hopefully they'll fit me better anyway.

What's your inside leg damien?

Actually, just realised its 2.5mm, can't really make that much difference surely.

It's 81cm. You're right though, 2.5mm is nothing.

Apparently the current thinking is slightly long cranks give you more leverage on hills, but reduced flat pedalling efficiency due to enlarging the dead zone, whereas shorter cranks do the opposite.

I've got this... Nice price and it looks really slick on my bike.

Easy to remove and adjust. Not a noise from it on my bike. I even fell when I forgot to unclip and the front fenders popped off without a scratch. Easily refitted abck and off I went.

i've been looking at these! :) hows the back one for spray? does it keep it all of your back? what about the front one? it looks tiny tbh.

^ I completed that in my century ride today :p

e: 103 miles of head wind and apparently I picked up a KOM, 4th, 7th, 9th, 10th and a bunch of PR's :D

Too late, I already ordered something more beefy :)

Are you in for another year? :D
I haven't decided yet. I'm taking things easy post-marathon and I've still got a few niggly injuries I want to fully iron out before I get back to my usual routine

Bah, got kit on for round 2 was going to do a 30 mile club run and it started hailing just as I was leaving. Think I'll leave it and go for another 80-100 tomo instead.
