I got pretty wet on the way in. Not as bad as last week, but still pretty nasty.
The rain came (just some drizzle with a couple of brief showers) on the outskirts of Weobley so I headed for home rather than extending my loop any further. Had my new NFTO rain jacket with me and it worked fantastically, my only 'gripes' would be the rear 'flap' is a bit flappy (even around my buttocks) and the off-centre zip, although it works well, does mean the jacket attempts to rotate on the body. Fit is superb, although arms could be a bit closer. It looks fantastic! Doesn't feel it but must be really breathable, as even without any vents I didn't feel it 'boil in the bag' in the slightest!
Book 'im officer, for disturbing the peace.my brakes are on the loud side when it's wet..
lmao at other cyclists looking at me when I approached the red light
I picked up the NFTO black shorts & top and I am impressed with the quality and styling. I am hoping to try them out tonight on a short ride to see if how the pad works. Incidentally I need a rain jacket so I may see if they still have any left in stock once I have been paid this month.
Good ride by the way - may try that loop next time I am back in Hereford.
I'd love to pop over to Europe to ride on some nice roads. Or even to somewhere near London as even there puts Manchester roads to shame.
Agree with this! Maybe he thought you'd overcooked the corner (uphillol) and ended up in the trees! The other cyclist sounds like an idiot to be honest.
Ahhh, I meant the NFTO, sorry! The Morvelo Bloc orange one?
Lol, didn't know this! So On-One were not originally PX and just acquired by them? I just assumed a MTB/CX brand that had branched out into Road. What about Vitis, how do they fit in? Thought that they were just rebranded PX frames/bikes for the EU market as they couldn't use PX?When on-one first started up, all their stuff had crude names. Inbred, Gimp etc
It's a good loop, I've done 75% of it as loops (in reverse) as after work rides. Extended it out to Weobley to try and catch the road race. Had intended to extend it south on the way back to go via Madley/Much Birch but sacked it off when the rain arrived.I picked up the NFTO black shorts & top and I am impressed with the quality and styling. Fit on my jersey is closer to DHB than Castelli, although I'm a medium in Castelli jerseys, I sometimes have to go for a Large. DHB I'm always a medium & NFTO I'd say I'm a medium. Shorts I cannot comment.Where does the NFTO sit between say DHB and Castelli?
Size & quality wise?
Amazing ride!On the topic of NFTO, James MacCallum broke the North Coast 500 record this weekend.

Maxeh & I got back from Germany, Bavaria yesterday. Not a single pothole was seen in 8 days state of the roads over here makes me want to cry and I've not even ridden on them yet since getting back being able to 'just ride' and not focus on dodging chasms every 20 meters was bliss.
Even the split second I accidentally rode in the gutter was smoother than most UK carriageways.
Quality feels superb, fabric on par with Castelli & similar to most of my DHB. I've never had a problem with DHB quality.
I decided to put the bike away without checking it over, and told myself it was totaled. To my surprise I checked it out yesterday, the saddle and bar tape need replacing, a big scuff to the frame rubbed out, and that was about it. I think my body took most of the damage.
Benny, are you on Strava? Would like to check out your rides from your trip, if you're OK with that?
