You may be right. I am actually tempted to go and get a proper bike fit as given I am starting to do 50+ mile rides frequently I want to make sure I am fitted correctly as the last thing I want is an avoidable injury which puts me out of action.

Although saying that I am starting to agree with Roady that you do get what you pay for in bike clothing especially with bib shorts and the pad. I am going to Italy in October for my riding holiday so may check if Castelli is cheaper out there - I suspect not!

Yeah, both of the straps are the Polar ones so should be ok. Maybe I need to give it another try.

Changing battery is always worth doing, certainly for how cheap they are! I picked up 10 panasonic branded for around £4.50 and the one in my GSC10 lasted for probably 8+ months.

Have the GSC10 spare actually, think you said you needed cadence on your track bike? It's been used outside in all weathers, I have the Decathlon one too which hasn't been out in the wet. Only need 1 of them for my turbo bike! (got the new sensors on my main) ;)

£45 for those evoluzione ones is pretty awesome, if they have your size in stock. Mine haven't arrived yet. Next day delivery my arse, wiggle!

Thanks for the offer, if I don't decide to get a PM for it just yet, I'll probably try and get the new one for it.

Lee Valley don't like anything attached to the bike really, so I think the new low profile ones I might get away with, the old GSC10 was a bit big to I think. Cheers though.

I really wanted a pair but medium is now out of stock. Bah.

After my fiasco of 2 weeks, I need to grab more inner tubes (last one of 4!) what does everyone else use? I've been grabbing the Specalized ones from Evans at a fiver a pop, are there better/cheaper ones?

@Roady, not sure if you grabbed the Team Sky Merino Jersey I posted but It was posted the other day and well it's lovely, looks great. Definitely more casual wear than cycling but could make a decent base layer in the winter!

Stick a brake on it and clock some miles up on the road if you need to gather riding data. A Campagnolo Skeleton caliper with a Crosstop lever is ideal because they both come off easily when you arrive at the track. You've got the Alpina fork on that Dolan haven't you? There's plenty of meat on that fork crown to drill for a brake :)

Khamsin review on RCUK for James. Not quite as glowing as here, but then we get them cheaper than the guy reviewing them did ;)

No worries Tom!

his only complaint was the weight and tbh they're pretty much the same weight as any other wheelset in that price range, his "bearing" bit was random too, he hasn't riden them through winter so ye.. I killed them(braking surface is nearly gone) and they're still as true as day 1, still spin as free as day 1 and I haven't ever opened the hub up :o literally built and rode for 8k+ miles, all weather, no maintance bar breaking surface clean :D

Urgh, it's gonna be pouring tomorrow morning. I don't think I can be arsed going out in that. Will save my metric for one night this week as the kids are going to be away at my parents so I can get out asap and just accept that I'll be finishing in the dark.

Not seen that segment before, might add it to tonight's after work ride to see how slow I am :D
I've ridden sections of the route before though, so there's no need to worry about your KOM!

Just had a go at this segment, however I rode it from memory & took a wrong turn right at the end so it didn't record a time.

Will have another go at it soon though.:D
After riding it though your time is very impressive.

Ignoring the dodgy frame, FSA kit alone makes it anti >>>>>>

:p

I can't talk though, I'm going grudas and wearing a sleeveless top tomorrow.:o

Chainsets made out of cheese, kinda like all others! When manufacturer skips full groupo and replaces the most expensive part(chainset) with a cheap one from FSA normally or something they've "designed"(Fuji does that often) ! :)

Yes I know that shifters cost the most out of a groupo but you get the idea.
