A few of us have experience yeah. You'll do well with a Dengfu frame. Buy it directly from Dengfu though - not through a reseller.

Seems to be a popular option from what I've been reading and mostly positive experiences with them, the only concern I have it not being able to try them. What frame/s have you used?

No rest for the wicked. I got up early for a metric century ride to Jodrell Bank. Not very fast at all, between the low hearing on that single speed bike and the 115 miles in my legs this week before I even started. It was a really nice ride though. Beautiful weather, lovely open countryside, the dishes at Jodrell, rabbits and birds, 3 types of deer in Tatton. The gearing on that new bike is so easy, I could just pedal and pedal. It's harder on the slopes, but that's single speed life for you.

175ish miles this week. Boom.

I just got caught in a full on snow blizzard for 15 mins... It went from 3 degree's to -1.5 in a heartbeat and then once the snow stopped and I was frozen it threw some hailstones for 5 mins just to sting my face to death.

Horrific. Because Scottish Highlands :(

Just popped out for a short ride after collecting the bike from the LBS after it's service. Feels like a new bike!! :D
Only a short 17 mile ride, but enjoyable enough. Weather is actually ok.

Missed all this week out on bike after work as I was away on holiday for a few days up in Yorkshire, although we managed a few nice walks over the course of the week away.

Just a quick one - Campagnolo Khamsin owners... did yours ship with a 10 speed spacer? Everything I've read online says that they come with one yet mine didn't and the place I ordered from say it shouldn't have one and that I need to purchase it separately?

The zonda's I had a while ago came with a 10 speed spacer so I'm guessing Campanargo wheels should come with one.

I've got one knocking around if you want one.

Cheers Von if I don't have any joy with the supplier I may well take you up on that. Emailed them with a link to the Campagnolo website stating that all HG11 hub wheels should come with one so I'd love for them to stick to their line of they don't come with one :p

I assume they got a job lot somehow (I notice they are standard fit on their own bikes now) as they didn't come in any Campagnolo packaging, just a plain wheel box with the two skewers in a plain grey bag. Be quite amusing if they've been sending them all out with no spacer as I bet they sold a few at that price!

So I'd planned to ride tomorrow but with some surprise sunshine I thought it would be rude not to. Suffering a little with some DOMS from yesterdays lifting (do I even Squat volume anymore) and had been pretty active this morning (10km) so figured if it felt gross I'd just take it a little more leisurely as it's the IOW Randonnee next weekend anyhow...

So turns out riding in to a headwind with DOMS is very effective for simulating what a 40 minute bonk would feel like :p Absolutely grim (2:21 off the pace of the first 13 min climb ). But funnily enough the last time I rode with DOMS I hit quite a few PR's and as it so happens I did again, taking 32 seconds of Waddesdon Hill which is a 5-6 min climb and puts me just outside the top 10%.

And actually rode my fastest average 17.5mph 38m near 2k/ft.

Not using my legs at all tomorrow :p

Any magic tricks for recovering Garmin 810 lost ride data?! I'm so annoyed with mine... it's really unreliable recently.

I just got home from a 73 mile ride at 19.5mph avg (quite a nice personal record - checked it 2 miles before home) get to home and the course thing makes its music to say i've finished the course and then it switches off! Turn it back on - yep ride lost. Urgh!

There are some files on the device called TPT_BACKUP_FILE made today at about the same time I got home that may contain ride data but no idea what to do with it :/

There should be partial .fit files you can recover from I think? I've not done it myself but I read about it a year or so ago.

Most Garmin crashes seem to be down to dodgy SD cards - at least on my 810.

Yeah think I'm gonna have to try changing the SD card... never used to have an issue but maybe the cards gone bad... though this only ever happens when I'm running a course at the same time.

There's no partial fit file at all for today. I'm gonna run a recovery tool on the SD card and see if it picks anything up.
