Road Cycling

Legs are empty today, they were like nu uh, nope, no thanks. Didn't eat anything after my trainer session last night (but had dinner before) and woke up with nothing. I think it's also the fact I've ridden the last 11 days straight. I think this weekend I'll have a couple of days off.

I've done three trainer sessions this week.

They certainly give your legs a work over, my quads are so sore today.

More than 5 or 6 days in a row leaves me empty.

I was going to do intervals last night, but realised I just couldn't find the energy to push that power, so just did an easy flat spin instead.
I'm at 382km, 11 days, no rest days and probably not enough fuel. Just had the biggest bowl of porridge as I'm off to the hills on the MTB at lunch.

:confused::D

Jumped on the turbo for a quick one myself this morning. Low IF (0.9) and only did 25 minutes worth...

Felt good though and my stitches/scar don't feel too weird so I reckon I can do a proper session tomorrow or Sat with luck.

I take it you don't have a job? :D

Would hardly say 7000 mi a year is low :D Just he's always able to go at the nice times of the day. I'm busy stuck at work dreaming of cycling... :(

PS I know you are jesting about mileage FT you massive cripple :D

Don't make me flail my broken collarbone at you! :p

My mileage has obviously tanked :/ I might hit 7k by the end of the year but it's been stuck at 6k for a month now. Annoyingly the one target I had left for the year that might have happened (250k ft of climbing) is now pretty unlikely too. Waa.

Maybe I could just do a million repeats of a local hill in late Nov...

My legs are just empty after a) a week of a stubborn virus b) a week/10 days of cycling here there and everywhere (some Strava'd, some not) and squeezing in some weights work too.

Last night I intended a good 2 hours riding, got to around half that and had to just head home - absolutely pooped. Going to rest now I think till Sunday, my quads feel like someone has injected them with drain cleaner.

If I didn't race I dread to think how many miles I'd do per year, as would do so many longer rides and not be resting on Saturdays/Mid week for most of the year. Should take better care of yourself :P

Pah :p I'd managed about 20-25k miles without injury before this. I blame the council for not clearing the road tbh ;)

Returned one of these boxes and actually got more money back than I paid, so extra discount! Brucey Bonus!

Lol, nice.

I still haven't bought junction boxes or cables. Pretty much have everything else, though still waiting on wheels arriving actually.

I've held off on the junction boxes as I'm not sure if I need the new BT one to configure the Di2 with my phone. Have you set yours up with the BT battery and does it work with just that?

I actually don't know much about it tbh. The new battery supports BT for configuration but I read that you also need a new junction box...and then I kind of got distracted.

Hoping someone else will do all the research for me so I can be lazy ;)

Isn't it so you can configure how you want di2 to shift, be it using synchro shift or to work conventionally etc
