Best chamois cream? My favorite is the Robbie McEwen but its not available in the UK unless I pay LOL delivery...

Followed maybe by the Rapha or Assos but both are quite small tubs for the price.

Tried Morgan Blue soft but really didn't like it. I like a firmer cream rather than a soft sloppy mess.

I've only ever used udderly smooth - did the job nicely over a 73 mile sportive last month.

Sudocrem. No point paying more for anything else.

^ this.

Used Assos until very recently on FT's recommendation. Found the antiseptic properties to be very handy as well.

It's not slippery like the Assos which is actually ideal. You want to stick the chamois in place and ensure all movement happens on the exterior, i.e between shorts and saddle. Not shorts & backside!

Cheap AF and widely available too.

Shorter stem fitted and flipped, see how it feels tomorrow:

That looks much better :)

I got one too

Waiting on an email back from the sales rep but I should be ordering a Felt F4 2017.

Already been looking at the pro vibe stem with the sky blue stripe, elite bottle cages and bar tape with a wee stripe of blue on it. Can't decide if I'll go down the Fulcrum quattro route or racing 5.

That's it in a 54cm with a 13cm stem/pro vibe bar. I can't afford cosmics but don't want to ride on the generic Felt wheels.

After my whinge about getting no time to ride I've managed two short rides already this week, can't do the next couple of days then a decent 20+ miles with the guys from work on early finish Friday. A good weekend and I could be pushing 100 miles for the week which is unheard of for me during a working week.
Currently 93.4 so a small ride tomorrow will push me north of 100 for the week.

Work ride was good. Felt bad as one guy got his bike serviced at Evans after I suggested them as an alternative when his regular place couldn't get him in. He had to go back because it wasn't shifting properly and on the ride he was getting brake rub when out of the saddle. I had a look mid ride and there was bugger all clearance either side with nothing on the barrel adjuster. I slackened off the cable at the side of the road and got it 'good enough' by my standards. I am right in thinking that there should be some play in the lever before the brakes hit the rim right? His rear lever was basically solid. Anyway, next time I'll tell him to hang around after work and I'll bring my tools in rather than taking it to be serviced.

Post work ride was good, few stops though considering that we only did 25 miles. The one mentioned above, same guys rear light also fell off on a downhill stretch! Third stop was a punctured Gatorskin. We didn't spot what did it but it put a 5mm slice clean through the tyre. Embarrassingly after singing the virtues of CO2 and how "It has never failed for me" I stupidly took the canister off the adaptor instead of adaptor off the valve and stood there watching the tyre go flat again thinking "WTF?!" :p Luckilly I always carry 2 canisters.

Not knowing the route is a bit of a PITA though as you can't take a turn on the front but it does make for a super easy ride :p

Hi all how easy or difficult is it to replace the boss i think its called that is used to screw a bolt to secure your bottle cage?

The boss has become so loose that the nut/screw doesnt screw in anymore as it turns the whole thing!

Not at the moment but I have two taster sessions for the Manchester Velodrome I need to book. Looking to go through the accreditation stages myself over the year and get to the stage where I can race hopefully.

Which Velodrome do you take your daughter's to?

Halesowen, West Mids - it's an outdoor one, only two miles from where we live. They absolutely love it.
