The FSA Metron 5D is pretty popular and is used on the Bianchi Oltre XR4 amongst other aero bikes. Not cheap though http://www.wiggle.co.uk/vision-metron-integrated-5d-carbon-handlebar/ I think you can get it at Bike24 for 449 Euros

I'm looking at buying a Bianchi next year but there's no way I could justify that kind of money for a cockpit (even if it is available in Celeste). Weren't Canyon talking about making their aero cockpit available at one point?

They have. It's available online at about 400EUR, so could be worth looking at tbf. Has everything I would want from a cockpit.

I absolutely battered it in this morning. 10 miles at an average of 17.9mph, which on my single speed makes for average cadence of like 93 or something

I only had to unclip the once, at the first set of traffic lights just around the corner. At all the rest of the lights, junctions, roundabouts, I got really lucky with my timing and paced myself to make it through without having to stop.

I scored a PR on a 4.4 mile long segment, got it down to just over 14 minutes.

Some numpty was in such a hurry to overtake me just before a mini roundabout that he raced past me, turned left and nearly got hit by someone who was turning right coming the other way whom he should have given way to

That's what I'm talking about! The plain black one as well, no canyon branding on top. Light as anything!

Thought I'd post a mini review of the new 'hybrid' I picked up at the weekend. It's a BMC Alpenchallenge AC02 Nexus which I've fitted full length mudguards and a rear rack to.
Great writeup and mini review, sounds a perfect bike for what you've got it for, even more perfect with that cashback! Kudos! Which insurer is that with? :)

That does look perfect for what you want to do! Marathon plus tyres and it would go anywhere.
Apart from any hills as they're heavy as hell amirite? :D

Is that article online anywhere? Could be a good read :)

Christ, it's dead in here.
Need more Roady to keep it going.
LOL!

I have been quiet the last couple of days, stuck onsite all of yesterday away from signal/net (didn't even have time for lunch!) and almost got stuck in a T&A meeting all day today, I've managed to sneak out this afternoon (after taking advantage of the free food!) but I have missed my lunchtime rides home the last 2 days so feeling slow... Zwift race on tuesday was awesome, will do a writeup in the trainer thread.

Ross, your click is probably grit between cleat and shoe, or on the pedal axle. When you change shoes & cleats it would be worth cleaning pedal threads and maybe even cleaning & regreasing pedal internals.

Also the Trek integrated bars are nice, Pro Stealth EVO I looked at a while ago. Ritchey Solostreem & Deda Alanera also ok and spring to mind. Don't think Enve & Zipp do an integrated one? But could be worth a shout as would expect their stem & bar combo to be as light as some of the integrated. 3T might be worth a shout as their Aeronova is considered good too. SL-70 & EC-70 for Zipp and Easton for light & aero bars much more affordable...

@Roady challenge corsa latex cx tyres. 15 quid each even over here. Not been stock in the UK since last September... Challenge have been using all they can produce for their tubular and have changed their distributor.

Current spec I'm going for... missed anything?

I'll have to smuggle parts in a piece at a time I think. Oh, and if I get the eTap delivered to the US it's 1600EUR, so I'll get it while I'm away with work one of these upcoming trips (not when I go over in Nov, I'll get killed even more!)

^guarantee it'll come out slightly heavier than planned, even after accounting for cable inner & outers, skewers, cages, bar tape, greases/lubes etc etc. Always the way :p
