Finally the stars aligned and I was able to get out for a 'club' ride. My 'club' is a local shops saturday social (previous club) which has degenerated over the years into a group of 5-6 of us who ride together frequently. Shop doesn't lead the rides, just sometimes gives us a route and coffee/tea at the finish if we ride it. Many times there will only be 2-3 of us, so we'll ride over to one of the many other groups rides and go with them. Same happened on saturday (only Steve & I out). We went over to ride with the 'Gannets' who are generally a north of hereford club supported by local breweries. Although they've been going for many years (guy from my work used to ride with them as a Junior and he's now 85!). I'd only ridden a few times with them before. They all tend to be older guys and saturday was no different. I'd probably dragged the average age down by a good 10+ years!

Quite a lumpty one! Strange social ride - guys leading seemed to be aware of splits but didn't ease up. At times they seemed to even push the pace on, then be waiting 5-10 minutes up the road. Nobody seemed to mind - but I guess they all knew each other well so it wasn't even mentioned (other clubs I ride with tend to either ease up regularly, or split the group into 2). With 12 riders out it was quite a mixed group and I did
several large closes when the group got split more regularly later in the ride.
Utterly emptied myself on the last with 3 riders on my wheel into a headwind - didn't bonk but glad when we got held up at some temporary lights. 10 mins later when it came time to ride home I realised I was done for -
couldn't even hold my mates wheel on the way home! Really should've eaten more in the later part, but running low on fluids I didn't. Whoops!
Mine is even more messed than that, Garmin sensor - the second gen one
Wow that's messy haha! Mine was similar when I used the cadence from my PWM, on the head unit (Edge 810 & ELEMNT) I'd occasionally see 0 cadence, but more frequently see 225 on there lol
Good stuff, amazing weather for it all weekend here. Kinda gutted I only got out for 1 ride, but it was a huge one for me as I'd not been out on a club ride in months.
It’s fine in the biggest three, totally silent. Rattles in the smaller individual gears which have the metal spacers.
I didn't think they where metal? All my Ultegra 6800 (and 5800) cassettes the little spacer things have been what feels like a black plastic. They have little nub things so only fit in 1 place and stay there. If your's don't is it possible they're moving around/moving out of line/getting distorted and causing your issue?
My other half's Tiagra cassette had 1 cog which seemed to be deformed, you could see it 'wiggling' the chain out of line causing chainrub. I pinned it down to one of those spacers which had worn, but the cassette being a Tiagra is a bit different anyway - they're held together with a pin through the cassette which holds it together. That was loose and I figure how there was enough movement to wear one of the spacers. Even after I sorted it (replaced spacer), the cog was slightly warped, but didn't cause any rubbing.
