Road Cycling

Dear Ponces,

Do your elite premium Rapha jerzeez not have pockets or something? Stupid triathlon things and bum bags, neither is better than the other, both feature highly on the ponce scale.... A situation you must avoid at all costs because you are already so high up the scale in your baby pink coloured garments.

You are risking me having to expand the size of the ponce scale to accommodate you all. Use your pockets FFS. Pockets are for putting stuff in.

Yes but my pockets are not big enough for all the necessities of a bike ride which may or may not include my tampons and make up.

Yeah, but that's where my tubes go.

It's just the way pads work, could get a different compound but the performance will reduce. Noisy Pads generally indicate higher performance.
Go retro and wear your tubes like tyres looped over your shoulders? To be honest I've done this once with a punctured tube rather than trying to stuff it back in my saddlebag/pocket on a group ride lol, nobody commented so I must've pulled it off!? :D

Thanks for pad info, maybe they'll make less when they wear in a little more, not done 300 miles yet!
They look pretty cool too, very similar to racing jackets. Awesome concept! Fingers crossed :D
From the sounds of things your front might be very very slightly out of alignment but not enough to worry about. It's also almost inevitable that you'll have horrendous noise in the wet :o
I'll have a tinker with alignment when I've next got it in the stand. Really must dig out some maintenance info on them, what they came with was rubbish.

I'm a lost cause, I'm now running fixed guards too!

My pockets are full of hurt (and usually packable, phone & food!).:o

The only reason I say out of alignment is because you said you get noise when the wheel is spinning. If that's not what you meant then don't play with it :)

Solid - At least you are accepting of your poncey way! To which you try to limit the damage by mashing pedals on a TT bike pretty hard.

Shamrock - Possibly the worst case. Beyond point of no return. Is actually a triathlete. Loves Rapha. But did cycle up mountains in Lanzarote on a full on TT bike (even if he calls it a tri bike we can let him off).

Roady - You are definitely a lost cause. Remember that time you asked about TT bars for commuting? F'in ell mate. Did buy and send me some nice black rubbery items in the post though ;)

Counter-acted by the wearing of trip socks. My latest Rapha additions are brilliant! Ultimate ponce in my pink super lightweight jersey, with pink shorts and socks! :D

Similar to the sort of black rubbery items a certain industry uses regularly that isn't cycling?

I'm a duathlete now. No more swimming except to prevent drowning!:p

I've always called it a TT bike, never a Tri bike!

<3 Rapha

Although the only Rapha item I own is a blue team cap - as it's kinda waterproof to wear in a downpour! Got myself another set of the rubbery things in the NFTO closing down sale, think they cost me a fiver! Would've got more if they were there! ;)

On a need to know basis only...

Ah, that reminds me. One of the guys that ****ed off the pace riders and rode at a crazy pace on the Newcastle > London was in an NFTO shirt.

Lol any idea who (do placing show BC team affiliation)? Didn't see anything on the RC facebook page (big/special rides & paces usually posted) and it's nobody I'm following on Strava... :o

EDIT: Have a good weekend all! Mixed bag of weather here but a good forecast for tomorrow morning *fingers crossed* :D

igfawerihgiaerhguhae **!*!!*!(!( Lots of swearing.

Ordered some discs from uberbike for my new wheels last night. 20% off today!!!***!!!!

Edit

Great Service - Uberbike just refunded me 20%!

Nice. Even Wiggle aren't capable of administering a £5 refund when that happens. "Order it again and return it" Must cost them more than £5 in delivery/return/processing!

Yeah very happy. Although have had it before with previous order with them but that was few days before. Quite annoying.

Also makes that noise if your calliper mount isn't tightened to the frame properly, same happened to me the other week after bleeding my brakes

Glorious afternoon here before what will be a mixed bag of weather.

Having power data available definitely makes for some interesting analysis and being able to see the beneficial effect aero dynamics have and equally the negative effects of a headwind.

3.1mile 2% average. 12 minutes. 25 seconds quicker than last time, on the drops rather than hoods at the same (well 2 watts less) power. Similar conditions.

9.6m 1% average (3 Cat 4 climbs in there though). 34:20~, 12 seconds slower despite average power being 20w higher. All the wind.

Tube & pump in middle, phone right pocket, keys & food left pocket.

Feeling a little bit rough this morning, damn birthdays. Was hoping to get out for an easy metric in the sun to give my legs a stretch but I might have to halve that plan :o
