Roberto Mancini (probably, but I'm premature) Sacked

Well its being confirmed by journalists Mancini has a 7m release clause in his first year.

28m is beyond ridiculous and I can't believe people actually think it is true.

£28m is a mind boggling amount but i wouldn't be too surprised. look at what roman paid for AVB and then sacked him.

thanks roman.

Seeing as Raphael is one of my favourites I might pay more attention to him on this :p, I've only heard / seen the £28 million figure.

It's still a fortune when you consider the staff too.

Its the clubs own fault they have to pay 28mill. They gave him a 5 year contract which is madness in this day and age. Its almost like the ghost of Gary Cook still haunts the offices of the emirates

Alan Pardew has a long contract but you know mike ashley will have all sorts of clauses in there because he is a clever businessman (you don't own half the highstreet in 10 years without having a few brain cells).

Mancini and Mourinho joined clubs with serious money to rebuild and like utter douchebags, both expected to just continue to spend massively forever, and got all upset and acting like morons when told something along the lines of, you've bought a squad, hows about trying to make it work better.

Mancini's entire season has been one of a manager passing the blame for his absolute inability to take a group of players and improve them. No better than Redknapp, buy form players, their form drops due to crap management, buy new form players, rinse repeat.

Mancini's only real success was winning a bunch of titles in an Italian league when all the competition were relegated/points deducted, in Milan's case they were going through a bit of a rebuilding phase and had the year with less points. He was an utter failure in Europe, and has continued to be the same manager as before, boring, incompetant, and has an attitude issue.

Because he wants them to, the players should all be able to just play a different formation, without ever practicing it, because the existing formation wasn't working, so when 3-5-2 failed miserably, it was the players fault for not being good at it, not the managers fault for never practicing it......

While certain individual players have failed at Utd, as a team on a whole Fergie has always gotten good performances, wins when required and a working team. Mancini failed miserably to do so this year, and against Wigan, and blamed it all on ousting players like De Jong for no reason and buying the wrong replacements, while complaining about lack of investment.

he's a joke, winning the league with City last year was stupidly easy with the squad he had. One real competitive team and beat them at the last second on GD, this year that same team improved slightly and City went miles backwards and sucked in other competitions.

LOL well that was no big surprise, Mancini sacked by City...writing was on the wall since they didnt win anything this year and going out of the CL without winning a game was just embarrassing for a club that has some fantastic players. Had he won the FA Cup this past weekend then perhaps he would still be at City.

Dont think City fans should be too upset, this is the guy who ****ed off Tevez last yr, ****ed off Ballotelli, who decided enough was enough and left for Italy back in Jan then he criticised Hart for some goalkeeping errors. So no huge loss for City, its who they get in now that will matter...dunno if its Pellegrini as he basically said today the rumours of him taking over at City are false but then he probably had to say that.

If City get a decent manager in, who knows what he is doing then the rest of the league should worry because that side they have now, should have won the EPL and challenged for the CL properly this year.

Wenger could be gone if he moves to PSG, or doesn't secure Champions League football, and Spurs will be without Bale and Everton will be without hope. Next year is our year!

LOL Wenger is not going anywhere for at least another year, so keep dreaming that next season *might* be yours:p

Can’t say I’m sorry to see him go. This year’s failures have to be put down to him and all he appears to have achieved is one step back instead of two steps forward. With all the resources behind him it should have been much better.

Well done City for spending another small fortune sacking your manager.

Are you starting to get the idea you cant just chuck money around like its going out of fashion and gaurentee sustained success.......

It's not just because he was City manager, but Mancini has behaved like a right **** since he got the city Job.

Even Rafa at his most deluded is more likeable than Mancini.
