Robocain - Robocop 2 robot

Maybe I missed some pics earlier in the thread but it would be really cool to see stuff actually being cut, for example, the Lump of Delrin. Before, during and after. I think it's cool you can get such a complex shape out of a simple block. I'm curious as to how it's done.

turned some collars/disks to mount this on the end, the pincer will go on the end.

Starting on the nippers, have to make 2 exactly the same which is always a challenge.

marked everything out and cut a groove each side with the bull nose cutter.

Cut the angle on each side on each one (look like little fish)

started rubbing one down, 600 gritt gets the right finish

found the mod 1 gear track I used for the shoulder disks is just right for the teeth! excellent, one less thing to make!

made a set of these ovals up only to find they were the wrong size

put together with the short plates on, it opens at an angle becuase they are too short, better remake them then!

I've loved this thread for quite some time.

Im assuming once it's built up you'll tweak and improve it until you're satisfied?

yeh just getting all the hard stuff done first, then i'll have to go back over everything making sure its perfect, then painting some bits, polishing others, then pipework, hydraulic lines, etc.
