Robot Wars returning to BBC2!

I think the american bots are heavier as said above, and from the fights I've seen of tombstone it seems to take more of a hiding than carbide

Sabretooth guy badly needs a kick in the plums.

Gabriel and its axe would be lucky cutting through butter.

The apollo guy flapping his gums about uk bots, theres probably a reason no american bots were in this due to less restrictions in their weaponry and the fact they're much larger.

Just watched the first one. Was quite good. I agree Gabriel is useless. It's defensive but has no attack really.

It's a shame about links falling out again, ruins a good fight :(

Well those two specials were a complete waste of time. It's a shame, we recently finished a really good series of Robot Wars and then they put on that one-sided rubbish. A UK vs USA in the future with the best vs the best from each country would be awesome.

Pretty cringey episode to say the least. A Sgt bash clone that wasn't allowed to use its flamethrower, then again it was knocked off by a gust of wind and it died shortly after, a fibreglass turtle that did nothing but conk out in record time, and a spinnerbot that seemed to excel in losing its spinner chain.

Have to wonder if the better American bots are tied into some sort of exclusivity deal with the battlebots show, though I'm near sure that was cancelled? Or is it just cherrypicking crap robots to run rings around?

Did it even have it's flamethrower? I thought that was just cosmetic.

The russian bot was pretty good, shame about the wheels though. It's a shame they can't find stronger robots to compete with.

The battlebots ones are heavier aren't they? You won't see a robot of a different weight class featured.
