Rocket lake leaks

Ryzen works when plug and play mate.

most people run into issues when they think their AMD cpu is like intel. Actually over 90% the posts on this forum asking ryzen help are people switching over from intel haswell/skylake generation. Used to intel stepspeed and auto voltage management and thinking That’s what you do to a ryzen CPU and that’s it without understanding the CPU technology.

for you to say that is the cause, it goes to show your lack of knowledge and how ignorant you are.

For comparison, I had 4770k all core Oc at 4.3Ghz it was guzzling down the same amount of power (115w peak) as my first zen CPU - 1600AF which is a 2600, but the 2600 is over 2x faster in all aspect. That is efficiency for you. Anyway I had no problems setting up that CPU. Currently on 3900x which is another massive step up in terms of performance/W. I am again getting twice as much performance over the 1600AF for about 30% more power consumption, so I have options to run full fat or undervolted.

Intel systems really hasn’t given that sort of performance leverage at all, even when 11th gen is considered.

I tried amd..and never will again.

You have to use the top ram(not cheap 3000hz) ram for the board to work.
And to get the maximum out of it, you need to buy a AMD GPU as well. No thanks

I'm not downgrading.

The, what I can only assume, is trolling in this thread is actually getting funny now.

You have to pity those they only get to use one new system every few years at most, and base every future buying decision on that. :D

utter rubbish. Maybe try again but this time RTFM

My RAM isn't on the list either.

There should be no RAM list whatsoever. They should have a universal support for all DDR4 memory modules that fall within the specifications:

Ugly:

4x DDR4 memory slots, support up to 128GB 1
  • 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors support DDR4 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200 Mhz by JEDEC, and 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466/ 3600/ 3733/ 3866/ 4000/ 4133/ 4266/ 4400/ 4533/ 4600+ Mhz by A-XMP OC MODE
  • 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Processors, 1st and 2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ with Radeon™ Vega Graphics Processors support DDR4 1866/ 2133/ 2400/ 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200 Mhz by JEDEC, and 2667/ 2800/ 2933/ 3000/ 3066/ 3200/ 3466+ Mhz by A-XMP OC MODE
Specification MAG X570 TOMAHAWK WIFI | MSI Global

Better:

4 x DDR4 memory slots, support up to 128GB 1
  • Supports 1R 2133/2666/2933 MHz 1
    • 1DPC 1R Max speed up to 5000+ MHz
    • 1DPC 2R Max speed up to 4500+ MHz
    • 2DPC 1R Max speed up to 4400+ MHz
    • 2DPC 2R Max speed up to 4000+ MHz
Specification MAG Z490 TOMAHAWK | MSI Global

"Ryzen 5000 series and 3'rd Gen Ryzen" (Ryzen 3000 series) what's your problem with this? that they didn't write "5'th Gen Ryzen and 3'rd Gen Ryzen" or "Ryzen 5000 series and Ryzen 3000 series" ?

Ryzen 5000 isn't 5'th Gen is it? And Ryzen 4000 is 3'rd Gen.

Can you see what they did there? its perfectly logical.

There is no consistency. Technical documentation and user manuals should not be written in that way.

It's a pity that MSi skimped with the X570 Tomahawk over the Intel version.

Intel platforms always receive premium support, while AMD is like a no-name garage Chinese start-up.

He's trolling, ignore him, even with inflated prices and problems keeping them stocked AMD are still outselling Intel in the DIY space, so who cares what this guy is blithering on about just be happy in the knowledge your gaming performance is up 30% higher than his.

Ryzen 5000 and 3rd Gen Ryzen.

It could not be more clear in a single sentence, there is no 5'th Gen Ryzen hence "Ryzen 5000" and 3'rd Gen Ryzen can be either Ryzen 4000 or Ryzen 3000 hence "3'rd Gen", written anyother way it would not be clear, the problem is with your comprehension.

i dont get how this is AMD's fault (And to get the maximum out of it, you need to buy a AMD GPU as well)

not AMD's fault they implemented re size bar before nvidia, soon you will get it working for nvidia / Intel, You could actually credit AMD for doing it now the others will follow I remember reading that resize bar has been available for years but only now its started to be used

No they didn't. AMD said good quality Ram is idea for Ryzen, that has always been true for AMD, and Intel.

My RAM is cheap, it works perfectly. I even have it overclocked.

I will stick to intel when gaming at UHD.
My 9700K goes to 5.2ghz on all cores easy.

Mine goes to 5.05Ghz all core in games, with a 30% higher IPC than your 9700K.

Here, £90 for 32GB 3200Mhz RAM (2X 16GB) as i said, works perfectly, have them running 3400Mhz CL16.

The irony in your comment is too much. Anyone who speaks out against or anything other than positive about ryzen gets labeled a troll and a fanboy on these forums yet if anyone were truly any of those it would be most of the people on here bigging up ryzen. I don't have anything against ryzen. It's a lot of their consumers who have come out of the woodwork in the past couple of months who seem to be quite toxic. It's not what they say it's how they talk but then again the forums here have gone down hill over the last few years with what seem to be a lot of unprovoked angry people.

I personally don't care what people buy, as long as they are happy with their purchases and the finishing project or product then that's all that matters.

My 10900k boosts to 5.5ghz all cores out of the box with 32gb 3600 cl16. Plus my dad's tougher than your dad.

Is this not an Intel thread, so why is humbug so worked up over an Intel "troll", at least he is not posting his charts all over this page?

I CBA to mess with Ram Calculators to get Memory to work or Curve Tools.

I will get whatever Intel bring out after in 2022/23 as it should be good as they sat on their asses too long but Alderlake looks ok.

I was an AMD fan back in the days of ThunderBird/Athlon/Thoroughbred/Palomino/Barton etc, before they AMD the boob buying ATI which took both companies down for a long time.

Just for once, it would be good to have a thread about a product that wasn’t littered with rants about a different product from a different company.
We know Ryzen is a great series of chips, we don’t need a tape loop of geese babbling on about it all the time.

He speaks more sense than most plenty of people to get rid on here before him.

You don’t need ram calculators to get the memory to work so stop talking rubbish.

Good for you.

No longer relevant Amd have turned a corner. Next.
