Hi all,
I do apologise for the 'lack' of updates. I've had a few personal issues and to be honest I've put the PC to the back of the list. Anyway, I’ve had it running now for a month on air and I hope to buy my water cooling parts within the next couple of weeks. I'll post some pictures within the next few days to show you what I've done so far.

Also trying to play how i am going to run the power cables to the 295gtx, the connectors are on the top of the card
I made a few cuts in mine and used blow hole trim to finish it off. I'll get some pics on tomorrow morning. I promise!

Once again I’d like to sincerely apologise for the huge delay in providing you all with some info and photos. Like I said previously, I’ve had a few personal problems, which has meant my PC has had to take less of a priority; quite a bit less actually.
So at the moment I have my PC running on air but hopefully within the next 2-3 weeks I’ll have the cpu/gpu water cooled and I’ll sleeve it all at the same time too.

I know most people cut their cases before they get it powder coated but I was still unsure of what motherboard I was going to get, which would affect the cuts I was due to make. So I decided to cut my motherboard tray and partition shelf after it was powder coated. I trusted my ability...I think.
I decided to get the ASUS Rampage 2 Extreme x58 motherboard, which is not standard atx, hence my dilemma. It's 1 inch wider so I needed to determine where I would cut a hole for the atx cable.
I chose to cut it roughly inline with a standard motherboard and I plan to then sleeve an atx 24pin extension to allow the cables to pass through without too much hassle (I hope).

After I had ordered my parts from several places I was good to go!
Final spec was the following:
CPU - Core i7 920
Motherboard - ASUS Rampage 2 Extreme X58
Memory - 6GB Corsair Dominator 1600 MHz (3x2)
GPU - Sapphire 4870 X2
PSU - Corsair HX1000
Monitor - NEC 24WMGX3
HDD - Samsung SpinPoint F1 1TB
HDD - Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB
Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVDRW Black SATA
Scythe S-FLEX 1600RPM Ultra Quiet 120mm Fan (2)
Scythe Kama FLEX 92mm Fan (x2)
Sleeving - Murdermod
Thermal Paste - Arctic Cooling MX-2
Acoustic Ultra-Soft Arrowhead Fan Mounts
Vista Ultimate 64
I had to take the graphics card and power supply back after 1 week as the gpu was making a terrible squeal noise and the psu was buzzing. I replaced the gpu for the Sapphire version instead and it's been superb. I chose to have the same psu again because they do get brilliant reviews and I’m glad I did.
The system is running well now and I've done many tests on it to ensure it is all stable on air before I venture into the wonderful world of water cooling...
Cuts look a lot nicer now when finished off with blow hole trim.
I also used blow hole trim on the partition shelf holes.
I have some black paint ready to touch up the partition shelf cut.
That's all the photos I have at the moment and I appreciate it might be a bit of an anti climax for you not seeing it all finished but I'll take loads tonight and get them on sometime around 10-11pm. Hope you enjoy what you've seen so far.

2. Which Silverstone case is that?
3. How much is this project going to cost you?

1. I don't need a blu-ray drive. I don't like to say much more but hopefully you can see where I'm coming from.
2. It's a Silverstone TJ07 with window panel.
3. Total price will be around £2600...ouch! Will be spending around £400 - £450 on WC.

I've just quickly taken some photos, whilst the wife was nagging, so they're not great! I still need to sleeve ALL cables and then water cool. Once I've sleeved the cables the majority of them will be routed under the motherboard tray.
I'll provide an update soon with more info on what I intend to do with the water cooling scenario. Enjoy...

The atx24 and the cut in the parition shelf was done with a dremel. I also used a hole cutter, which is a small blade that is attached to a drill piece.
Looks very nice, watercooling will looks great with that black interior. I wander how cable management would be when you have finished...
