ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO

Heads up. Elmor (ASUS guy over at overclock.net) says he doesn't have high hopes for improved RAM compatibility.

I tried this but it wasn't a god fit temperatures were way too high

Maybe try another, I linked to the one I purchased. Temps doing just fine. Beats waiting for those mugs.

I tried two different AM3 backplates with my H115i and it was never a tight fit. Ended up getting the H110i and it's about 10c cooler...

Apparently worse components than CH6 and Taichi, yet costing way more (there is no reasonable explanation why it costs £300)

Wow so it's even worse than the CH6 that's really bad,

There is still no word on Gigabyte this is getting pathetic now.

CH6 is not bad if you read other forums about other mobos you will see all have issues. Asus managed to deliver way more supply than others that's why it might seem like it's bad. But if you compare support which is working, communicating on Bios development, there is no comparison.

Edit : Components on CH6 and Taichi are quite good quality according to people who look at those things.

I have been lucky with the C6H though I think Asus should have included a AM3 back plate, it was a selling point that it would work with AM3 and many have had problem due to bad back plates.

The CH6 worked fine for me it was more of a cooler issue but it still was not my first choice that's why i sent it back.

Is anyone struggling to get there graphics card to run @ gen3? I have it selected in the bios but when I load up gpuz it say pcie 16x 3.0 @ 16x 1.1

Edit never mind it changes to 3.0 when load is put on the graphics card

Think the CPU fan header runs the fans at full speed all the time on the 902 BIOS. Have set a PWM curve in the BIOS but it does nothing, might explain why my temps are so low as the rad has two SP120QE fans on. The other headers work though.

Spent the weekend finishing off my build with my C6H and its working a treat.

Ryzen 1700
32Gb Corsair Vengenance LED
2 x 512Gb RAID SSDs for Boot & 1Tb for storage
NZXT Kraken X62 Cooler

got it to 3.6Ghz on the CPU and 2400Mhz on memory, works stable and games beautifully, Ryzen Master also shows the CPU idling at 20 degrees with gaming upto 35 degrees.

Pleased as punch :)

looked in the handbook and could not find anything, I have a orange light flashing in the bottom right corner anyone know what this is, every thing seems to be working fine
