ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO

Got the 8 pack dark pro 3200mz kit running to spec, ram voltage 1.37 runs fine for a few days then it will lower itself, but when I go into the bios it's still at the correct speed.

Did you get to the bottom of this.

I just checked mine and it defaulted back to 2133Mhz it was still set at 3200Mhz in bios but said it was at actually running as 2133 so I saved, rebooted and its back to 3200Mhz.

I'll keep checking it.

I'm running 1701 BIOS

So looks like I may need to jump to the "Beta"

I had an issue with the 8 dark pro resetting the speed and timings on boot, I went into Advanced\AMD CBS\DDR4 common and set Fail_cnt to 8 and the speeds have been fine ever since. Just using the xmp profile. Looks like it needs a couple of tries at boot to set the speed.

Just started to play with my new CH6 and been out the game for a while.

I have updated my BIOS to 1602 and my idle temps seem to have jumped up by around 10C. That can't be normal? Sitting idle now; 40C with a 1700 at stock + a Kraken X52.

Thank you. Before the update, my Trident RGB 3200 CL14 would run at 3200 but now it appears to do so in the BIOS (though it didn't show in Windows).

OC'ing the 1700 is next :D.

I have done the same thing, first i found the sweep spot for memory i.e frequency & timings and later I have Oc'ed my CPU. Less fiddling if ur RAM is B-die.

I have the latest BIOS
R5 1600 clocked to 3.75Ghz - Put 1.35v in the BIOS but CPUZ is showing just 1.264 at idle and under full load - Everything still stable and running after 1 hour of Prime as well.
I haven't touch any LLC settings

anyone found the onboard sound is really distorted lately? Only started about a month ago, i thought it was just iracing update but its actually all games. Mainly effects the BASS, which seems to be coming through my speakers rather than my sub now.

CPU-Z just reports what the CPU is requesting not what its getting from what ive seen. Try HWmonitor to see the actual voltage?

Well I tested 3.8Ghz at 1.3v with Level 1 LLC and it crahsed after 2 hours.
Gone back to re-test at 3.75Ghz 1.3v, Level 1 LLC

If that is stable then I may work on bringing the voltage down as I am happy with 3.7GHz.
I may push for 3.9/4.0 one day when I get some time but I don't really want to go past 1.35v

Jumped upto the 1701 bios from 1501 and had the issue someone else reported where the fan management wasn't working correctly and had my fans stuck at 100% dropped bios to 1602 and it still did the same off the bat but after tweaking it's now working correctly and silent again.

Had to setup the OC again but back running @ 3.9 and seems stable in games so far with the limited time I got to play last night.

Unsure if its the bios(1701) or not but sometimes my fans just spin up a bit even though the temperature indicated shouldn't spin up the fans.

Mostly works fine, my fans dont go over 20% until it hits 60 degrees.

Not had any fan issue apart from FanXpert4 playing silly beggars at first but that seems to have sorted itself out.

Although I'm not OC yet. So may not be a bug I encounter

Tested earlier and put 1701 back on, to sort the fans being at full speed the bios defaulted to the wrong mode, changed that and all good with the fans now. Need to finish tweaking my OC again though now.

Ram problem now sorted putting them in the black slots worked for me even though the manual said to put 2 sticks in the grey ones.
