Everyone talking/worrying about specs is starting to make me worry
ye.
CPU is what u wanna be worried about.
if u play with small unit scale then it will predominantly by GPU dependent, huge unit scale is when CPU will come into play along with optimization.
shogun was terribly optimized, CPU wise.
Feeling a little uneasy... im guessing GMG don't tell you when an item is posted or if they do I wont be getting mine on release day...
I am the same. I pre-ordered a boxed copy about a month ago and from day 1 it had it in transit, but have had no official conformation that GMG have posted it.
Spoke to them on their facebook page and a guy told me they would be posted Monday at midday. I raised a ticket to get a refund so I could purchase a digital copy on Friday, to be told by their customer service rep that it had infact been posted already.
I think they have not been sent yet and if they do post them, as the guy on facebook said, on Monday at midday the chances of me getting it by Tuesday is slim to none.
Q6600 at 3.6GHz is stuffed?
Somew of you are nuts if you can run Shogun 2 flat out your be fine with this game. CA are trying to attract a bigger crowd this time round not alienate everyone unless you have a super pc.
An i5 2005k with say 8 gig of ram and a 570gtx, 580gtx, 560, 660, 670, 680, 760, 770, 780 your going to be fine. Also any amd card that matches up. You may not be running Ultra everything and supoer high levels of AA.
But your have a very good experience with a lot of effects turned up.
Anyway the most important part of this game is CPU. The battles will be CPU bound the map will be GPU.
Do we know what spec machines they used in the demo's and the recent Macedon campaign walk through?
Worried my 7850 wont cut it
I have this set-up and Shogun 2 isn't smooth. I don't have high hopes for Rome 2.
