Rome 2 : Total War

I had a nightmare trying to contact Amazon by phone, they don't seem to list it anywhere. I hate using e-mail to contact them, I prefer to chat to someone its so much quicker, mind you that was years ago when I bought my samsung 3DTV. There service is first class otherwise just phoning them was tough then.

Most companies will do anything to prevent you talking one to one with them. Because there's no hiding place when you get someone on the phone. Amazon hide their phone number very well.

I just gave LOVEFILM (now an AMAZON company as i'm sure you're aware) a tongue lashing of a life time, yet again re-billing me when I have cancelled.

Worst company I have ever dealt with - never again. Totally shocking service, and this is after I gave them a second chance after an episode several years ago when they constantly ignored my requests to cancel and kept pushing me overdrawn, I was on a tight budget then, cost me close to £100 altogether, most of which I got back months later after hours and hours and hours of faff and phone calls.

In my last e-mail to them I told them I would every opportunity to tell people the truth about LOVEFILM, and I have just done so!

:D

I can see that struggling. :(

I hope not I just installed Far Cry 3 on it, and it plays smooth as at 1080p almost maxed out, on my projector at 70". I'm sure that my new i5 cpu should be able to handle large armies and a huge campaign map. The HD7750 is surprisingly very powerful for its price. I am being very hopeful this will run smoothly but hey, we will see. Roll on Tuesday, which is also my Birthday, so double birthday pressy for me (Rome 2 and the new rig).:p

Don't get me wrong, you have the grunt and power to run a game like this, but Creative's optimisation skills are a chromosome extra on other developers if you get my meaning. :D

Shogun 2 runs like a bit of a dog in the battles on a 3570k + 670, it's more than playable but when you speed the match up it goes nuts.

I'm going to purchase a new PC for this game and I want to be able to run it at 1900x1200 with the settings maxed out. What sort of spec will I need?

^^ Certain aspects of it. The new campaign map in Shogun 2 was pretty GPU dependent.

Would crossfire 7950s do the trick?

I guess it depends how well the drivers are optimised.

Can't wait for this, shame I won't be back from work until late on Tuesday.

Hoping I can get close to maxing out the game. Otherwise it might be time for an upgrade :)
