Rome 2 : Total War

OMG. Sooo how the hell is a noob meant to know what the hell to do. So vets don't know about it and it is explained no where in the manual.

okayyyyyyyy.........

Yeah, daft eh?

Sorry, I edited my post as you replied, as I said there it comes down to experimenting and community in the end lol

Still enjoyable though, don't give up yet :)

Is it me, or can you not individually control a cities tax, it applies to all?
I also can't seem to find out specific information about a unit, rather all the information about the units.

Tax is per a province (or all cities in that province) which when you have a large empire works SO much better

Bottom left the "+" gives all info on selected unit in battle and on campaign map. I only noticed as I miss clicked.

Amazon still have'nt sent me my DLC pack yet. Which is weird as lots of you have recieved the the greek's culture pack already. I know some were told it would arrive a little later but this is ridiculous.

Anyway I'm enjoying the game, played the prologue. Had difficulty recruiting more forces as I did not realise you were restricted to only 3 generals. Needing to increase your imperium to get more generals. Need to get used to the way towns and cities are run too. Enjoyed the battles on land and sea. Will play more later and start a campaign.

Nitram posted the below earlier, if you complain enough you could get the same? then just buy the DLC

"Managed to snag a refund out of Amazon as haven't received the DLC code yet, well chuffed "

why do all my genrals suffer attrition all the time and not replen themselfs, i end up with an army of 400 men also how do i get more than 6 genrals?

Your units may be suffering attrition due to supplies being poisoned by an enemy spy, or by being in enemy territory so they can't replenish.

Q. How do you increase the Imperium?

Imperium is based on several things, apparently all relating to size and expansion.
Completing your objectives. New Settlements controlled, new pronvinces controlled, and number/strength of new Client Kingdoms all bump up the Imperium bar bit by bit. This is what I just read and I hope it helps you.

Finally got the game just now, but still waiting on the DLC.
Just won't get a pre order game from amazon again, as this just shouldn't happen.

The customer service still giving the same line, that there are being done manully from the 4th, and will be with everyone by the 6th, they better get a hurry on!

Wow the Roman praetorians are so unbelievably broken! 2,000 kills 20 odd deaths with a stack of 20 vs some low and mid tier double stack of 35+ celtic units. How did they think this **** was balanced!?

I just received my DLC after complaining repeatedly.
They didn't even offer compensation, just a "sorry that you have been dissapointed with our service. We hope that you will order again and allow us to perform better in future" (paraphrasing)

Your lucky mate, I'm still waiting for mine to be sent. They seem to say all will have there's by the 6th. You have 12 hours Amazon, then I'm coming for you!!!!

Mods here

Radious Battle Mod that fixes the pace of the battles and makes them a lot more realistic, even though the tweaks are very simple in nature.

Radious Graphics Mod - removes annoying smoke and dust effects during some animations, might increase your fps a bit.

Radious Campaign Features Mod - increase campaign army/navy and province bonus limits and improved diplomacy (through tweaking the relations conditions)

Radious Buildings Mod - reduced penalties from higher tier buildings. It makes it possible to actually develop your cities with revolts or starvation.

2/4 turns per year mod - it works exactly as you would expect it, your generals will no longer die in 10 turns, but it doesn't affect the technology trees or the time needed to construct buildings. I can't believe CA took such a step backwards here.

Bonus: Playable Seleucid Faction - they're not completely finished yet, which is why CA hasn't bundled them on release, but they're more than playable, and with a few tweaks, they're a fully fledged playable faction with their own set of bonuses and conditions. Please note that the mod is currently incompatible with increased turns per year mod, but you could merge or do the edits yourself.

It's good to see modders doing the work for Creative Assembly again.

Nice work by the modders. My favourites are, Radious Battle Mod, and Released-2-turns-per-year-4-turns-per-year, this will be very handy as I've read a lot of complaints about these. Will try them this weekend.
