Rooney's Derby Goal

Volley v Newcastle is much better imo.

I am literally killing myself typing this but it was a great goal. I only wish it just meant we won 3-2 :p

Can hardly say it's "much better"? The difference for me is any player could catch a volley right and score, but it takes something special to pull off an overhead like that.

Was good it won the game so its 10 times as good, sort of stuff they try on the training ground, pull it off amazing, everybody remembers it, goes wrong a sarcastic cheer nobody remembers it but only his 5 goal, if he can do that why cant he score every week.

This is better
;)

I went to see Everton at Goodison when he was there and he was by far the best player on the pitch, by MILES.

It's unspoken that he played for Everton cos they are/were one of the Premiership's 'lesser' sides. Also, he left them quite shamefully tbh...

Nah I reckon the one against the 'toon still edges it, to hit a volley on a dropping ball like that on the run is harder technique-wise although looks slightly less spectacular.

But with the sense of occasion in a local derby and importance in respect of the title race then sure this one was probably the 'best'.

He hit that through anger and it was VERY lucky that it dropped in. At least he meant the one against Seaman!

Seasons in Everton's first team: 2
Seasons in Man Utds first team: 7

Yeah it's shocking we don't talk about him as an Everton player huh.

Who gives a damn about Everton?
They are a mediocre club and Rooney has only spent two seasons there, where he couldn't flourish and mature fully.

Is that why he scored a hat-trick on his debut at ManU, in the Champions League? Yes he may have had poorer players around him, but he was as good then as he is now. If not better, he's been atrocious recently, especially for England. Last years world cup was shameful on his part.
