Roy Hodgson

Well, LFC fans have got their wish. Now we must wait to see how well Dalglish does, but in particular, who they bring in as the permanent manager.

Was a matter of time really, shame for Roy he's seems a good bloke but the job seems to have been to big for him. Hasn't done his England manager credentials anygood at all either, if Fabio had got the sack last summer he'd have been a shoe in now not so much!

The whole Liverpool fans loving getting Dalglish back is a little bit baffling to me though, has a whiff of the Newcastle Keegan/Shearer situation! He hasn't managed a club in over a decade and hasn't managed a premiership team for 13 years will half the Liverpool squad even be able to understand what he's saying :p

So, who do Liverpool fans want in charge next season?

I'd settle for Deschamps or Rijkaard. However Deschamps has distanced himself from wanting the post and I hear rumours that they want Owen Coyle (not too sure about him tbh). So, will have to wait and see who throws their hat in the ring.

Its pretty simple really.

I'm happy with Dalglish being back because he is a decent choice as caretaker manager, he is one of only 3 manager ever to win the league with 2 different teams, he has an understanding of the club and a strong lean towards attacking football. He hasnt managed for a long time, but its not like he has been sat in a shed for 10 years, he has barely had a day away from football and easily knows as much about the squad , its players, their strengths and weaknesses and the club than anyone else. He is, in my opinion, a VERY sensible choice as caretaker manager (not permanent manager, but caretaker).

Oh my, Dalgleish as manager, thats a step for sure!

The only thing he can provide is a sense of hope & morale boost which, naturally, we'll smash on Sunday! :p

Rush as Assistant Manager? :o

I really don't understand you Liverpool fans, if you think Dalgleish is a Prem Football Manager your sorely deluded.

Rafa - Hodgeson - Dalgleish.....just LOL. Only one Premier League manager in that list and its Roy!

See you all tomorrow in Old Trafford!

The Coyle rumours don't make sense. Not knocking him at all, he done a great job and Burnley and is doing another great job at Bolton but who exactly is recommending him? I doubt either of the owners know who he is and he wouldn't be the obvious choice to work with Comolli.

1 has won the Premier League, 1 has finished 2nd and the other has won 12 away games in his career.

I guess you're just having a laugh, if not, you're deluded.

Indeed, I've seen several rumours on it and I have to say that I dont think Coyle would be right for Liverpool either, just as much as Roy wasnt. Though at least he does attack a little more than Roy.
