NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 listed in Peru for around 453 USD

NVIDIA RTX 3050 might cost around 453 USD in Peru
XanxoGaming is reporting on a bundle featuring yet unreleased RTX 3050 graphics card.

Undisclosed Peruvian retailer is allegedly preparing an RTX 3050 graphics card for 506 USD. This bundle includes Palit RTX 3050 DUAL OC graphics card and Geil Orion DDR4-3200 8GB memory. With no effort we can conclude that the graphics card alone costs 453 USD because the memory is listed by the same retailer at 53 USD, reports XanxoGaming.

The reason why Peruvian retailers are using US dollars instead of Soles is that the national currency rate is fluctuating a lot, so they prefer to use US dollars instead.

With this in mind, we have the first retailer pricing of the upcoming entry-level RTX 30 graphics card listed in US dollars. Once compared with NVIDIA’s RTX 3050 MSRP, it becomes apparent that the PALIT DUAL RTX 3050 is being sold at with 82% higher price. Of course, this is a custom model with factory overclocking, yet it is still a lot higher than it should be.

Starting next week, distributors in Europe and US should confirm the retail price in those regions. For now, a vast majority of retailers with RTX 3050 graphics cards on their websites either list the price as ‘to be confirmed’ or do not list any information at all.

Meanwhile, we also have 3rd party sellers on Newegg Marketplace already offering RTX 3050 cards for as much as 699 USD. Those cards are not sold by Newegg and ship from overseas. This might be placeholder pricing and stock information may be incorrect. Newegg does not list any RTX 3050 cards with their own prices yet.

What?
A 3060 is 18% faster at 1080p and 22% faster at 1440p and 25% faster at 4k. I wouldn't call that "barely".
It's of no meaningful significance, hence the use of the word "barely". 20% is abysmal. The performance gain isn't like going from a 960 to a 1060 or a 1060 to a 2060, where it's in the region of 50%.

Notwithstanding the current GPU market, would you suggest someone with a 2060 upgrade to a 3060?

For real, a 2060 with an OC is like around 5% slower than a 3060, 20% stock is laughable for the cost.

The only video I made of my RTX 2060 before upgrading to the 3070.

Bringing overclocking into it isn't really a fair comparison.

The 3060 is still reasonably faster than the 2060. It isn't "barely" faster at stock.

I'll just leave this here before we get more arguments about the 3060 vs 2060.

Includes 2060 6GB and 12GB model and has the 3060 and 3060ti etc in the results.

The MSRP price of the 3060 to the 2060 did stay the same though whereas 960 > 1060 price increased by 25% and the 1060 > 2060 price increased by 32%.

Now if you increase the price from a 2060 by 21% you get a 3060ti which is around 50% faster.

If you are expecting more than 20% gains every release for the same price you are in for a disappointing future. Moore's Law (+40% every year or +100%% every 2 years) ended a while back.

Pascal was launched in 2016 using a die shrink from 28nm to 16nm. That was probably the last meaningfully large die shrink. Just calculate the transistor densities of Maxwell vs Turing vs Pascal.

Prices are way above the MSRP on this thing!
Rainforest Japan shows anywhere from 473 to 550 USD and a Lithuanian retailer has it for 492 EUR, which is 76% higher compared to the retail price of 279 EUR.

Anyone here actually eagerly awaiting the drop?

I'd really like to, but with how messy current 10 series price/performance is, i just feel there's still nothing outside the £400 6600 worth touching, and the 3050 is just going to be priced right into the expensive placings, changing nothing short term.

While not expecting good prices, pre-leased prices are always crazy. Estimated performance is 1660 Ti / 1070 so £400+ seems too high but what do I know?

It's unlikely this holds ~£400 even if some scummy retailers try it on.

There are loads of 1660/1660tis/supers in stock for that or a bit more and they can actually mine (and likely aren't in production anymore so limited)

This is supposedly rubbish for mining, and Nvidia supposedly has lots of stock ready.

I'm sure people will try it on, but it isn't staying at ~£400 for long.

Hopefully there will be some rrp prices at release like ocuk had for the 6500xt
