Yes I know but it was worth a try. Previosuly managed to buy a 3080 & 3070 both FE.because its 1fe card per gen per person
Just seen the first scalper trying to sell a FE for £700

TBH if I was buying I would rather get the Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB Trinity for the same price with 3 fans and most likely 2 years more warrantyEven the FE is still in stock
I'm convinced 90% of all GPU sales are due to the same 10 peopleI would have bought my fiancé a 4070 FE, but like you I already have a 4090. Seems like a silly rule to me. 1 SKU makes more sense.

Being less efficiency is nothing compare to stuttering and texture loading error (caused by running out of vram) on the 12GB vram on the 4070 for RT games at 1440p or above moving forward. The 6800XT with 16GB vram probably would still not have to worry about those particular issues for at least another 2 or more years.6800 XT: same price as the 4070 at the moment, but better VRAM. Given the better efficiency of the 4070, I would have a hard time choosing a 6800 XT for the same money at the moment. Of these were £500, this would be a different story.
I don't even know why they do it now.
Agree, but the three-fan design seems to be more of a £640 card.TBH if I was buying I would rather get the Zotac NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 12GB Trinity for the same price with 3 fans and most likely 2 years more warranty
If you cared about electricity you wouldn't build a rig, poor excuse.Being less efficiency is nothing compare to stuttering and texture loading error (caused by running out of vram) on the 12GB vram on the 4070 for RT games at 1440p or above moving forward. You have to find the particular retailer that is selling it at MRSP, most are above that though I agree, but one does have it at MRSPAgree, but the three-fan design seems to be more of a £640 card.
They went and bought one. So all the moaning was for naught. The FOMO was way too big.Why would they drop prices at all when vocal people that are constantly whinging about price such as yourself are happy paying £600 for a 4060, I mean 4070?
I'm the same. I really wonder whether Nvidia's strategy will work in the midrange market. I can see why halo cards will sell for stupid prices. I can also understand that enthusiast and high-end cards are not that susceptible to price increases. The midrange, however, usually consists of pretty price-sensitive consumers who might also be more affected by cost of living increases. Let's wait and see. There is demand, but not that much for these prices, apparently.I'm the perfect customer for this card with a 1070 and been holding out for the silly prices to end. I really want to get back to PC gaming and had this card released at £500 I would have thought fine, I'll pay that. But it's just £100 too expensive. I dunno, nvidia must have done the maths but they've got to be missing out on sales.
